My last post got me thinking - I mentioned before that I'd never written anything prior to sharing Luke and Conan's story here (Fusrodah was just a test project), and I genuinely loved the experience. This forum and everyone documenting their runs actually inspired me to actually start writing a...
Yeah, lot of small encounters and things like that get interesting, and it's fun to write it down. And I think it will be even more fun to read it in few years time. Have you ever written anything before this? For me this here was the first time writing a story.
Thanks, got to just think...
Hi and welcome @Kidd !
Great job so far with the story - formatting and writing look good.
Also smart to skip some small uneventful skirmishes. I experienced sometimes that writing became chore when I wanted to get into too much detail and document everything and it's good that you will try...
Ryland (human blade by @Borco) & Kalam (halfling assassin), multiplayer run: Part 15
After defeating Suna Seni, and with plenty of loot to fence, our heroes wandered into the Adventurer’s Mart. There, at long last, Kalam finally bought the Bracers of AC 3 he had been eyeing since their very...
Recap of the whole run:
During the whole run, there were two close to death experiences.
First one the trap in Slaver's ship next to Copper Coronet. Totally my mistake of misplacing the trap as a carrion crawler from sewers was chasing me.
Another time Conan almost died was in De'arnise...
Conan, Barbarian Dwarf: Part 33 – Epilogue
As Conan stood before the Throne of Bhaal, the air behind him shimmered.
Out of the fading light, Imoen appeared—pale, exhausted, but alive.
“You ok? What happened?” Conan asked, his voice rough from the fight.
Imoen shook her head slowly, eyes...
Conan, Barbarian Dwarf: Part 32 – Throne of Bhaal
As they stepped through the portal, a surge of wild magic tore through the air. Conan felt Imoen’s hand slip from his shoulder—then nothing. The light swallowed her, and when his vision cleared, he stood alone before the Throne.
Then a figure...
Conan, Barbarian Dwarf: Part 31 – One Last Drink
Conan returned to the main part of Pocket Plane after the battle with the Ravager. The air felt heavier than before, as if the place itself knew the end was close. For the first time in what felt like forever, Imoen was waiting for him — sitting...
I don't think I would mind that, there are enough NPCs in BG1. And linear is fine with me as well in some ways.
It's just that the writing of the new NPCs didn't click with me at all, so I always rather installed some mods than try the new NPCs (tried the beamdog NPCs only once and did not...
Conan, Barbarian Dwarf: Part 30 – Last of the Five
With Sendai defeated, Conan returned to the Pocket Plane. Imoen was nowhere to be seen, but beside a small stack of old books and a half-empty mug of something sweet-smelling, he found a folded note with his name scrawled across it in cheerful...
I never tried SoD, but i will give it a shot one day for sure! Just a bit worried it would be a letdown, so I rather played with a bunch of good mods before the no-reload challenge
Well honestly I can't say I know it so well - it is only my 10th char for scs no reload insane, and only 3rd char that made it to Sendai (technically 2nd since Fusrodah had to reload once in Ducal Palace). Though I have finished the game with SCS probably 5 times in last 10 years so I knew it a...
I am using Steam version of BG2, and steam has build-in shortcut for it ctrl+f11 I believe. If you are using steam, it's probably easiest way to make videos
