Well it doesn't hold much water because I originally played it a year or two after release. Also you make it sound like I am some punk kid that doesn't get 'real games'. :) It must have been around 2013 I first played Skyrim because looking on the Requiem mod history the other day it's first...
I just can't find myself getting into Wrath solely due to the silly cartoon graphics. I find it super immersion breaking.
I did get through the whole of the first one and did enjoy it solely for the oldschool dnd ruleset but the graphics bugged me through that as well. I just hate that bright...
Hey guys. I spent probably about 2 months getting Skyrim running with all the mods I want - most of that time, with breaks due to frustration/exasperation, were trying to make Requiem work on Linux/wine, which I finally did by a really tricky method but did it.
Anyway, after all that work I...
Lol defeats the purpose of buying a handheld? I was playing in bed this morning. I do not mind less efficiency a little bit. Doesn't detract from enjoying the game to any considerable degree.
Went with the ROG Ally and just started playing POE2. The controls take a little getting used to but not as bad at all as I thought they would be. Just takes a little longer to get the analog sticks to click on things on the small screen due to size and high sensitivity.
The graphics of the Pathfinder games really bug me. I just don't like those cartoony bright graphics. I did enjoy Kingmaker quite a bit but no where near as much as Pillars 1 and that tells me that the atmosphere is more important than story or combat for me. The combat of Pathfinder was of...
Oh I would plan to run a native linux in either case so I could get usual control of files and such. BazziteOS looks good as an alternative to SteamOS.
EDIT: last comment here looks promising: https://steamcommunity.com/app/560130/discussions/0/4141690481117803718/
Oh I see now from your reply it was not clear.
I am most interested in how one navigates the controls for such RTWP/turn based games? How would you control the cursor efficiently and make all your strings of orders and constantly switching between characters to issue commands?
Is playing with...
Thanks. Actually, following some very helpful advice elsewhere I have changed course and see it would be much better to get a 2nd hand gaming laptop instead, to give more bang for the buck plus negating the issues I had initially highlighted with a handheld device. Since I would be running...
I am considering getting one of these handhelds, probably one with native linux, be it out of the box or tinkered to make how I want as I don' mind DIYing at all.
My goal ideally would be able to have a machine capable of running open world games that would otherwise off limits due to my usual...
It sounded good but then I looked up the graphics and see it is 3d or whatever it may be properly called.
I would have a hard time getting into that. I find even things like Neverwinter Nights I would struggle to get into now.
3d games imo have not aged well as goes for most 3d games of any...
Hi guys, long time no see. :)
This one never got off the ground as I suddenly was informed Black Geyser would not work on my machine since the laptop is from 2013 and the game requires something like 2gb ram graphics which this one certainly doesn't have, being only intel integrated graphics...
Yes I initially passed it over as I thought it was a planescape torment remake and I know people will probably get made at me for this but I didn't get into torment. Not for any reason about the game being bad but I didn't like the grotesque setting and just gave me the creeps!
Probably could...
You can just do what I did, which is what caused the error since I had the details for this one saved in a file but used the other way, and put in 'rpg pub' in the search engine. :)
I'm not sure how I got the two mixed up in the first place since I searched them through the search engine with...
