I was wanting portrait that would be good for Icewind Dale and this is what co-pilot came up with. I gave it a photo of myself as a starting point and am quite impressed.
It changed the aspect of my head to presumably fit a pre-existing image.
and here is another one.
I'm so pleased to...
If you want to use any of my photos on this thread as backgrounds for your portraits, please feel free to do so. Some of the ones of mountains behind clouds are quite similar to some of the Icewind Dale images. If you use them, I would be interested in seeing your results...
I have found the answer to my own question regarding resolution.
On Beamdog Billy yank said that making the portraits Icewind Dale sized (L=420x660 M=169x266) was fine for BG. I'll check it out.
Checked it out and portraits of 420 x 660 are fine.
I have started using copilot which seems quite good and so far I haven't had to pay anything. I am very happy with it. If you have a portrait with a plain background you can ask it to add a background such as mountains (great for Icewind dale) a dungeon, castle, etc.
With the free ones you may...
I have noticed that even if I get a high resolution portrait, that when imported into Baldur's Gate EE I unfortunately lose much of that resolution.
For the game the portraits are all 330 x 210 bitmaps. I am wondering if that limitation is still there in EE. That information would be helpful...
I am perfectly aware that the second one is a decent halberdier.
The first one was my initial request for a halberd which it clearly is not.
To get a halberd, I had to specifically ask for long handles.
This version of AI clearly didn't know that halberds ALWAYS have long handles. No doubt in...
One problem with AI is that it is NOT intelligent.
Here is a dwarf wielding supposedly a halberd. -------------------------------- After telling it to replace the axe with a long handled halberd, I got this result.
Clearly AI doesn't know what a halberd is!!! It clearly thinks that axe...
I was clearly not using the right AI.
Now I have
A very good resolution image some of which is lost in the game.
Just about perfect.
Not a very nice guy.
Due to his lack of strength, he had to rely on the Watchers to survive against an Improved Shank.
[I have given Shank and Carbos...
My prompt was goblin warrior wielding a sword.
When I do a search, sometimes what comes up is nothing like what was asked for by the person who originally made the request.
It probably depends upon which AI system is used. Obviously the free ones are unlikely to be as good as the ones that you...
AI art needs a LOT of filtering because there are so many mistakes that humans would not make!
No doubt in the future AI will improve to the extent that the commoner mistakes will be eliminated.
I presume that you mean that the sword isn't in his hand. The ones that really bug me are bowstrings being wrong. I think that I'll use a different portrait.
I've found three which are a lot better. I'll edit them in the morning and also look a bit closer.
This looks a bit better
This is what I have come up with. I won't be playing it until I finish my current run in SoD though.
The problem with the paper doll is that he carries a shield rather than two axes, and that it doesn't change when I switch to bows.
Still, those are minor issues.
