Checking the GoG summer sale right now and there's a couple of games there I was considering. Some have been on my wishlist for ages, some are new. Haven't fully decided which ones to buy or not yet. I have learnt by experience two things:
1 - That there's no point in filling up my catalogue of games before I am actually ready to play them
2 - There's always new sales coming in the future
But sometimes it's easy to overlook games or miss gems because I haven't even heard of them so I was thinking we could take a moment to give each other some tips on great buys.
What I am looking at right now:
ARPG: VanHelsing Final Cut 90% sale. Looks really cool and something I've considered to buy a few times. I never really considered playing ARPGs as single player experiences until I played GrimDawn and had a grand time. Before that ARPGs were always online experiences for me (I'm an old D2 nerd).
XCOM-esque? Not sure what to call it, but Wasteland 3 has a 75% discount and looks pretty good. I never finished Wasteland 2, it's style wasn't up my alley, but Waste3 looks more like a xcom-styled game.
Open world Outward Definitive edition has been on my wishlist for a looooong time. It's a recurring game in sales as I think they earn their money on the DLCs. It looks really solid but I wonder if me personally have the patience for the grind? The open class system looks quite cool though. Sits at 75% discount but as said, this is on sale regularly.
Seven is an odd one.. not sure what genre this is but it's listed in GoG's RPG category. Looks like an action game, but there's something about the idea of the game, the concept, that intrigues me. It's also on sale more often than not, 80% discount.
What are you guys considering (if any) ?
Cheers,
