Orrin, human archer: Part 9 - Drasus & Co

I should probably make a disclaimer that any resemblance to strategies suggested and/or employed by fellow forumites is not coincidental and should be plainly apparent. While our party might get a D- for creativity, they certainly deserve an A on account of efficiency.

Upon reaching the mines' entrance, we removed the two guards at the gate and waited until dark to execute our plan. The inventory screenshots from my previous post might have already provided a few hints - here we are just seconds before striking:

1724405630229.jpeg

We have Ajantis there with Girdle of Bluntness and carrying a Potion of Absorption, suggesting that his task will be to shut down Drasus. Orrin has quaffed a Potion of Heroism and he and Imoen will be waiting in the shadows for the signal to open fire. Viconia is wearing the Necklace of Missiles and she uses Sanctuary to position herself within the range of the enemy. Her two skeletons are holding back for now, but are instructed to charge ahead as soon as the battle begins. Montaron's our key player here - he's buffed with a ProFire (via the green scroll for 90% fire resistance with his ring), Potion of Frost Giant Strength, Potion of Heroism, Shield Amulet and ProEvil and carries two Potions of Firebreath.

Once everyone's on their marks, we double-check our inventories and wait for a few seconds to see whether we can draw our a divination cast from one of the mages (note that Montaron's wearing the Cloak of Non-Detection so he's safe even at close range). With non incoming, Monty loses his patience and swings his blade at Kysus.
1724405677857.jpeg
One down. Drasus drops his few lines and quaffs a Potion of Magic Shielding. Rezdan's pre-buffs fire and he immediately beings an abjuration incantation indicating Remove Magic on Montaron. We don't want that. Viconia -> Necklace of Missiles, Xzar -> Wand of Fire, Montaron -> Potion of Firebreath.
1724405700360.jpeg
1724405704425.jpeg
Rezdan's casting is disrupted and eventually he's killed by the second tick of the Firebreath potion. Second point for Monty! Meanwhile, Drasus has charged into the midst of our party, where he's intercepted by Ajantis and the skeletons. Potion of Absorption: *gulp*
1724405709799.jpeg
Drasus goes Enraged and brutally crushes the first skeleton, while Orrin, Imoen and Xzar are showering him with arrows and bolts and Magic Missiles.
1724405755096.jpeg
1724405787757.jpeg
Viconia moves to assist Montaron, whom has taken a hit from Genthore. While he's distracted by the drow, Montaron manages to find a little hidey hole behind the corner and disappear in the shadows.
1724405808706.jpeg
1724405819169.jpeg
Smack!
1724405840358.jpeg
That's a hattrick!
1724406405809.gif
And what about Drasus? He's alone, he's starting to resemble a porcupine and he's efforts at hitting -14 effective AC are futile.
1724405897204.jpeg
1724405901477.jpeg
Good job everyone!
1724405910839.jpeg
Now let's just clean up the buildings, collect the Potion of Magic Shielding and move on to the mines.
1724405938653.jpeg
1724405990573.jpeg
What's that Immy? You're right, that grumpy halfling has saved the day!

Regards,

B.

Nicely done! As Pablo Picasso said, a good artist borrows a great artist steals. The difference is whether you copy, or you leave your own mark, improving the original. You are by now a master thief, my friend, lol.

I always learn from your posts. Even when I recognize the plan you always add a finery I didn’t think of.

@Alesia_BH Haha, I'd consider that fairly exaggerated, but thank you nonetheless!

While copying my peers has certainly made me somewhat better at utilizing my characters' potential, there's still a lot to learn in this respect, even more so with a party. As of the later stages of BG1, I began to realize that we're often "underplaying" our hand, with party members not attacking or using their aura as they should, rouges having unused traps and passing on backstab opportunities, someone using wrong weapon or ammunition etc. And the more your party can actually do, the more challenging it is to maintain that efficiency - which is why I've been that impressed with Alena's run so far.

Not at all. I feel confident saying that your BG1 run has been better than mine. Keep up the good work!

My guess is that your journey will look like mine. Early on I found myself thinking, “Wow! This is hard. I have so many resources to manage.” Later on that became, “Wow! This is easy. I have so many resources at my disposal.” It takes time, but your recognition of the your party’s tactical possibilities will grow. Eventually you’ll be thinking about your six characters the way you’re used to thinking about one.

Once again, keep up the good work! Alena is in Suldanessallar right now, but if you make it to Athkatla in time we’ll happily swing back by the Flagons for drinks with Orrin.

Journal of Hal the Hunter

We killed Coldhearth and finished the Troll Claw Woods.

We also finished the Forest of Wyrms and are now outside the Crusader Camp.

In the Forest of Wyrms we had to use an excessive number of healing potions and use of the wand of monster summoning.

However we survived and that is the main thing. A lot of runs have come to an end there!

The crusaders were all but beaten but blew the second bridge. Game Over.

Good game. It's never played out this way before.

Journal of Drizzt

My father was a black human and my mother a wood elf so the only thing that differentiated me from the drow was the colour of my hair and eyes and the fact that I had no magical resistance.

When a dragon decimated the population of our village, the shock turned the colour of my hair white overnight with the result that inevitably, many mistook me for a drow from then onwards.

Because Drizzt drove off the dragon, he inevitably became my hero and from my arrival in Candlekeep, I could always be seen playing with toy scimitars and later on practicing with real ones.

Almost inevitably I got the nickname Drizzt, something which I did not discourage.

My friend Jet’ laya got her nickname for much the same reason. Her village was attacked by undead and it was Jet’ laya who drove them off, killing many in the process. She like her cousin Aelfwynn was a member of the Moonflower family and both received a Moonblade at an early age becoming reasonably proficient in using them, though not as proficient as a warrior.

We picked up Sirene and have made it to Nashkel.

EDIT

Starting again. Got one-shotted just to the south. A mod enemy. I wasn't buffed. :(

Condolences, Wise. I’ve been skimming your latest posts because I still haven’t played SoD, and I’m trying to avoid spoilers. I have heard about this bridge, though, and it’s rough, as I understand it, even if I don’t know why.

Best of luck with your next run! I love Jet’laya’s portrait- very cool

Orrin, human archer: Part 10 - Davaeorn's demise

Drasus was dead. With our potion buffs still running and our spellbooks mostly untapped, we decided to proceed into the mines without resting. Wearing our newly acquired Boots of Speed, Montaron was tasked with removing the guards at the entrance and on the first level, hit-and-run style.
1724688987507.jpeg
Once the lobby on the second level has been cleared, he quaffs a Potion of Insulation, hits the shadows and trips the lightning trap in the narrow corridor leading towards Hareishan’s entourage. Montaron could have been wearing Boots of Grounding instead of Boots of Speed for 100% electricity resistance, however we wanted him to be as fast as possible to increase the chances of guiding the lightning bolt into the room with the heavily guarded mage.
1724689031367.jpeg
1724689037388.jpeg
1724689040097.jpeg
Once the lightning bounces die away, we do a quick status check - four guards are down and some are wounded. Hareishan is invisible, chugging healing potions. Montaron follows suit and quaffs a healing potion before disappearing again in the shadows. Press on, Monty! He rushes back into to the room, chunks the nearest surviving guard with a backstab and drops a Necklace of Missiles’ charge at his feet (he’s still running 90% fire resistance via ProFire + Batalista’s Passport), killing two more.
1724689082109.jpeg
1724689084919.jpeg
Hareishan’s unaffected by the fireball thanks to her triggered MGoI pre-buff and she immediately targets Montaron with Dire Charm.
With his aura clouded, he’s forced to take the saving throw. Our remaining party members are maintaining safe distance so we should be fine here, but we’re still relieved to see Montaron make his save.
1724689121222.jpeg
1724689126157.jpeg
He leads Hareishan and the remaining guards towards the rest of our party and hides in one the storage rooms to the southeast to reapply his stealth. Orrin shuts down the incoming mage on sight with Darts of Stunning, while Xzar strips away her MGoI with Spell Thrust.
1724689137033.jpeg
1724689143042.jpeg
The enemy reinforcements keeping running against Ajantis, who’s blocking the narrow corridor. Montaron announces his return to the scene with another backstab, while Orrin and Imoen keep working on Hareishan’s Mirror Images and Stoneskins with their acid + lightning ammunition.
1724689183774.jpeg
1724689191501.jpeg
Xzar manages to land Glitterdust on the surviving guards, but he also gets hit in the process by one of the archers and has to pull back. He quaffs a healing potion, however he remains poisoned and has to wait for Orrin’s Slow Poison, although at that stage the battle’s already over.
1724689203953.jpeg
1724689209842.jpeg
1724689223551.jpeg
1724689226981.jpeg
The Haste scroll drop would’ve been a complete game changer in our party set-up, however we forgot to pack Genius and Mind Focusing potions for our Cloakwood trip and therefore Xzar’s scribing attempt will have to wait until the major spell scribing session in Baldur’s Gate anyway. For now, he’ll have to make do with the newly acquired AC 6 bracers.
1724689244705.jpeg
With the second floor clear, we talk to Rill and move on deeper into the mines, but not before Montaron swaps his studded leather for Genthore’s magical plate in anticipation of close-quarters combat in the next room. Our ranged attackers take down the hobgoblin archers, while Viconia's Hold Person deals with the melee grunts.
1724689268719.jpeg
We spend some time on this level raiding chests and other containers for potions and sellable loot, although both the invisible ogre mage and the mage Natasha are avoided. Here's our first use of Web + Spider’s Bane against some hobgoblins.
1724689726490.jpeg
Finally, we reach Davaeorn’s chambers. After removing the lone bodyguard, Imoen lays down two traps, quaffs a PoI and the party takes a rest. As a compensation for all the hard work, Montaron gets to take the conveniently located bed. We prepare for the fight by summoning two skeletons and applying Remove Fear, Shield (Xzar), Shield Amulet (Montaron), ProEvil (Ajanits), Potion of Frost Giant Strength (Montaron), ProFire (Orrin), ProPetrification (Orrin) and Chant.
1724689864704.jpeg
Once Imoen has removed the traps under invisibility, we split into two teams – Ajantis, Viconia and Xzar are to remain in the lobby with the summons to delay any incoming reinforcements, while Imoen, Orrin and Montaron are tasked with Davaeorn’s assassination. Here we can see team B moving into position as they’re passing by the charging battle horrors.
1724689897906.jpeg
1724689923829.jpeg
For some reason, Imoen failed to detect and disarm the Glyph of Warding trap, however it made no impact on Montaron whom was the first to trigger it.
Team A intercepts the battle horrors with summons and Xzar’s Wand of Frost.
1724689967497.jpeg
Davaeron’s yet to make his move - he’s not yet seen us and is not running Stoneskins or Mirror Images. And that’s exactly what our rogues need.
All it takes is one swing of Montaron’s blade.
1724689976166.jpeg
So much for the iron crisis! Was that too easy? Certainly. Would it be more interesting if he was allowed to fire up his pre-buffs? Yes, of course. Does this bloke deserve a fighting chance on roleplaying grounds? None at all!

With that, we collected the loot including the Robe of Evil Archmagi for Xzar, raided the chests (note that the chest in the room north of Davaeorn contains a Potion of Firebreath, among others) and also tasked Ajantis and Viconia with disposing of the mustard jelly in the treasure room.
1724690005967.jpeg
All that remained was to flood the place and escape.

1724690023664.jpeg

I'll note that Imoen is our first party member to have reached level 7, while Montaron's now level 6 thief. As mentioned in one of the earlier posts, I had done a terrible job with the initial allocation of our thieving abilities, although by now things are slowly starting to take shape with Imoen's 60 Find Traps, 60 Detect Illusion and 70 Set Traps.

We're off to Beregost to collect our reward for the wyvern hunt and then, finally, to Baldur's Gate. Sorcerous Sundries await!

Regards,

B.

I decided that my party was too complicated in my last game, so this time I am playing an elven ranger called CuChonneac.

Journal of CuChonneac.

CuChonneac saved my life as an infant when he killed the undead who killed nearly all the population of my village. As a result he became my hero and CuChonneac became my nickname.

Gorion then raised me in Candlekeep until it became imperative that I leave for my own safety.

Cu037.jpg
Cu038.jpg

EDIT

I have discovered that the game is not buggy. It just gives CuChonneac a script that is very poor.

When wearing his armour, he doesn't get any experience. I can include that as part of the story!!

Once again, keep up the good work! Alena is in Suldanessallar right now, but if you make it to Athkatla in time we’ll happily swing back by the Flagons for drinks with Orrin.

Make sure to drop by! Orrin, Viconia, Jan, Cernd and Mazzy are just in, celebrating Mazzy's rescue from the Shadow Temple. We'd love to say hi to Alena and her friends before departing and Samuel has just announced Happy Hour on Black Bitter Ale.

2024-08-22_2323_1.jpg

Edit: Conveniently, none of the participants would be exposed to the embarrassment of meeting their younger (older) selves, lol.

Journal of Jet’ laya

I got my nickname Jet’ laya because the original Jet’ laya was my hero due to her rescuing me when my village was attacked by undead. As a result in all my childhood games, she was the character that I played.

Being a member of the Moonflower family, it was not surprising that I recieved a Moonblade at a very early age, and thus became reasonably proficient in using it, though not as proficient as a warrior might have been.
Baldr073.jpg

EDIT

Because I have made my CuChonneac game playable, I will play that game first and put this game on hold and play it later. I think that both games will be interesting.

I took the equipment that I found on their bodies to Gorion. He informed me that there was nothing special about the plate armour as it was the same armour that many of the guards wore. He then pointed to the runes on the other equipment and said that it bore my name in the elvish language. "This sword is a very good scimitar," he said. "Indeed it is of the same quality as the swords that Drizzt uses though its attributes are slightly different, It will protect you from level drain. The shield is a high quality small shield, and the armour has some strange qualities. It is excellent leather armour, but you will get no experience whilst wearing it! However, there may be occasions when survival is more important than experience."

Journal of CuChoinneach

After returning Joia's ring I headed south to Nashkel helping various people on the way.

At Nashkel Valerie joined me. Like me, she was level 2, but unlike me, she is a human sorceress.

We headed south and killed Zargos Flintblade and Greywolf with some help from the Amnish Guards at the mine.

hafiz gave me a scroll and I found some jewelry before being asked to take Samuel to the FAI.

Having done that we returned the Colquetle Amulet.

We are now officially heroes and I have reached level 3.

Valerie really needed some experience so that she can cast Shield.

helping Eltolth get back into shape brought Valerie up to level 3.

We then recruited Tenya before going ankheg hunting. I wanted to be a bit more experienced before recruiting allies and I also wanted the magister robe and cloak of protection +3 for Valerie. Of course doing that also bumped up the experience of Tenya and Valerie as well and both of them are now valuable members of my team as well.

Xzar and Montaron joined with me and Montaron did some useful pickpocketting both in Beregost and Ulgoth's Beard. That is where I left them.

We headed south to Nashkel and Dorn joined up with me. We killed Kryll before going to fight Shoal and Droth. We killed them, but not before Dorn and Valerie were killed. We returned to Beregost where we raised them.

We left Dorn at the temple. Tenya then took us to fight Lethe. We killed her with some difficulty. However the battle was worthwhile as we gained equipment that Valerie will find most useful.

We are now on our way to join up with Dynaheir and after reaching the Gnoll Fortress we were summoned to the Song of the Morning Temple. There, we were asked to deal with Mutamin.

EDIT

The green scroll made dealing with Bassilus straightforward.

We went to the Gnoll Stronghold again, and after killing some assassins, again we were summoned to the Morninglord Temple. This time it was to investigate missing persons in Beregost. Lady Valeria, the person responsible was killed. [In this set-up she no longer has the staff +3 :(]

On the completion of his quests we said farewell to Gavin at the temple as we need to make room for Dynaheir and a thief.

We are now back at the Gnoll Stronghold and have rescued Dynaheir.

She memorised a lot of spells, only failing on about six of them none of which I deemed as being important except for identify.

Safana joined us after which we looted the nearby cave. :)

We then did Mad Arcand's quest and killed the nearby sirines before going to the Carnival where Aerie identified our loot for free.

It must be time to deal with those demons in Nashkel Mines, ;)

After entering we met Miner Beldin who was frightened of the kobolds. He shouldn't have been for Valerie cast a skull trap that wiped them out without injuring him. :) Not important as far as the game goes, but I always like to save him in one way or another.

Neither Mulahey nor the Amazons were a problem. There is a lot to be said for having two arcane magic users.

Have now rescued Viconia on the way to the bandit camp.

@Borco Black ale is my favourite, particularly plum porter. :)

Sadly only Guinness and Newcastle Brown is available in the locals. :(

I really like the Valerie mod. She's a sorcerer who joins at level 2 no matter what the level of the protagonist. She isn't overpowered like Baeloth. No robe of the archmage and the like. Like all sorcerers she does become powerful, but you have to look after her in the early stages. I like that. I may try playing a sorcerer in the future, something that I have never done.

I like Tenya's character. It's believable, but she's slightly overpowered as far as spells go. Her lack of strength goes a long way towards compensating for it. I like her quest too.

I like the Sirene mod too. She isn't overpowered either and I like her character. I've just realised that of the party members, only Dynaheir and Safana are not from mods!

Journal of CuChoinneach

We took on the bandits and were successful. We are now on Cloakwood.

We plundered the wyvern lair and with the proceeds bought the army scythe. We now have less than 100gp.

Orrin, human archer: Part 11 - Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea

Do you also find that coastal cities are somehow more bearable? I don’t live in one and I certainly miss that fresh breeze, the fish & chips stands and the screaming seagulls. Baldur’s Gate has it all plus it also rocks the best souvenir shop in the world – the Sorcerous Sundries. During his first visit only, Orrin splashed more than 16k here, mainly on magical ammunition, potions and spell scrolls.

We collected the DEX tome from the Thieves’ Guild, booked a room in the Elfsong and allowed Xzar to take the trip of his life by drinking the Red Potion. For twenty four hours straight, he was trying to figure out how deep the rabbit hole goes, gazing into the secrets of the universe. We're slightly concerned that he'll never fully recover from the experience, but then again with Xzar you can't really tell whether his mental condition has actually deteriorated. Anyway, out of the 20 or so scribed scrolls, notable additions to his spellbook included Haste, Slow, MGoI, MMMs, Spirit Shield, Polymorph: Self and Teleportation Field.
1725619656090.jpeg
The next day we did a sightseeing tour around the city, starting with the greater basilisk in the harbor warehouse (that was taken down by Orrin, who's now wearing Boots of Speed, under ProPetrification) and finishing at the Helm and Cloak where we picked up the Helm of Balduran.
1725619696919.jpeg
We also wanted to test our new Haste spell and the bar fight with the Maulers seemed like a good opportunity to do that. Our party opens with Web and Silence, targeting the main group, while Ajantis charges ahead with Spider's Bane.
1725619757098.jpeg
1725619775590.jpeg
Slow comes next. In the meantime, our ranged attackers shoot down the webbed mage.
1725619801719.jpeg
Caturac, whom suddenly appears on the far side of the room, gets tagged by Horror.
1725619813438.jpeg
And finish.
1725619825571.jpeg
If one thing makes a meaningful difference between solo and a party play, then it's having six hasted characters instead of one. I'm thinking that the exponential increase in APR can potentially lead to reevaluation of some of my core strategies - in solo play, it's rarely the case that the best defense is a good offense, however I can see how this may not necessarily be true for a full party that is buffed to the nines. I'm curious to see to which extent this approach can be deployed at later stages of the game to shut down the abjuration / Remove Magic threat in the opening rounds of combat.

Ramazith was next. We wanted to do this at the lowest possible cost and therefore the task of removing him fell to Orrin, whom had his quiver loaded with Acid Arrows and was running Greenstone Amulet.
1725619882902.jpeg
1725619893756.jpeg
For some reason, we missed out on the RoP +2 - either I had failed to pick it up after the fight or I must've dropped it when helping out the Belde'ars later on. We returned to check out the top floor of Ramazith's tower, but the ring wasn't there. Nevermind that, after all it's just a minor setback in the grand scheme of things.

Orrin got the INT tome, since it's his INT score that's going to matter when it comes to fighting mind flayers in the distant future. We also picked up the quest involving Marek and Lothander, since we were interested in obtaining Marek's bow. In preparation for the final confrontation in the Blushing Mermaid we summoned two skeletons and buffed Xzar with MSD. Xzar initiates the dialogue, while Orrin, Montaron and Viconia remain on stand-by while hidden.
1725619941834.jpeg
During his opening move, Marek triggers his pre-buffs including Stoneskin, MIs, MSD and Shield and drops a Charm Person sequencer on Xzar, his MSD safely catching the spell.
1725619963029.jpeg
With Marek's aura clouded, Orrin steps out of the shadows and pops him with a dispel arrow.
1725619978668.jpeg
Stripped of his buffs, Marek suffers a backstab from Montaron and gets silenced by Viconia.
1725619992243.jpeg
1725619995348.jpeg
He falls before Xzar's Horror projectile could reach him.
1725620001550.jpeg
With the whole poison issue out of the way, we continued to the Seven Suns compound to earn that hefty reward from Scar for dealing with just a couple of ordinary doppelgangers.
1725620017601.jpeg
After that, the only remaining chore was the Iron Throne HQ. I rarely dare to fight Zhalimar Couldwulfe and his entourage, but the truth is that they do deserve a good beating from time to time and Orrin was more than eager to facilitate that. He used one of his green ProMagic scrolls and buffed with Potion of Mind Focusing, Potion of Heroism, Potion of Defense and Oil of Speed and readied his Arrows of Detonation.

Hey there, Zhalimar! You do have a cool name, but you should check your syntax - it's awful. Now watch!
1725627632371.jpeg
One.
1725627654485.jpeg
Two.
1725627677241.jpeg
Three.
1725627688665.jpeg
Four.
1725627701807.jpeg
Five.
1725627722804.jpeg
Six (time to being in the reinforcements).
1725627750669.jpeg
Seven.
1725627805145.jpeg
1725627811438.jpeg
1725627815906.jpeg
And eight!
1725627823639.jpeg
The vast majority of the damage came from the backstabbers. The first mistake on my part was not realizing that there're actually two of them, Kaalos and Shennara - two successful hits in a quick succession could be a real problem, even with Orrin's HP pool. Also, we should have brought Imoen with us, and have her on illusion detection duty under invisibility while running 100% fire resistance.

In retrospect I'm thinking that we should have just used stealth to grab the documents for Eltan and avoid any unnecessary risks, as this entire adventure was not worth the risk (even with the Ring of Free Action drop). I'll keep this in mind for any future encounters that can easily be avoided without jeopardizing the game's integrity (e.g. the party in the Undercity).

Anyway, with the Iron Throne squared out, our time in the city was over - we headed to Sorcerous Sundries to get last minute supplies and embarked on a trip down the memory lane to Candlekeep.

Regards,

B.

Samuel has just announced Happy Hour on Black Bitter Ale.
Very cool! Bitter Black Ale is my bounty hunter’s favorite beverage. Is that why you mentioned it? If so I’m gobsmacked that you remembered, lol.

Btw, everyone, apologies for vanishing. Alena is still alive and well. As mentioned earlier, I had paused for a bit because I wasn’t sure what to do about Alena’s money situation. The end of SoA is drawing near and there are still oodles of goodies that I’d like to buy. Alas, Alena is broke. A little thievery from Jan is an option but I don’t love that idea.

I’ll acknowledge that this situation is dangerous. When I abandon runs it’s usually in situations like this. When I’m not thrilled with my immediate options I sometimes pause. I then lose inertia and the run sort of fades away. That’s what happened to Aurora, the beast master, if you remember her. I paused before facing Bodhi because I hadn’t thought of a plan yet. Time went by and I lost interest.

Aurora’s run was special, and I regret letting that one lapse. Alena’s is extra special. I won’t abandon her- not with the SoA endgame so close. I’ll make a point of firing up her save in the next couple days. I’ll work my way back into action soon after. In promise- both to you and Alena

Best,

A

Glad to see you back in action, Borco!

It’s super odd that we both posted for the first time in weeks at the exact same moment. I was just about to hit “post reply” when your post popped up, lol.

Anyhoo, I’m glad you’re posting again. That’ll give me extra motivation to resume Alena’s run.

Cheers!

A.

Davaeorn was once more wiped out by summoned skeletons except that this time his summoned monsters were completely wiped out and I had one uninjured skeleton with which to attack him!
He had run out of spells so when my party attacked, it was a walkover.

We went to the FAI to rest. I had forgotten that there would be an ambush awaiting me!!!

We made a sharp exit and returned. Web and area effect spells were the order of the day.

I then noticed that Jet' Laya was waiting for me. I decided to leave her quest until later. I'm thinking of finishing off most of the Baldur's Gate quests first.

I must however rest and identify my loot before proceeding. Gold isn't so much of a problem now. I have a few wyvern tails to sell. :)

I am currently at level 7 and have entered Baldur's Gate.

Very cool! Bitter Black Ale is my bounty hunter’s favorite beverage. Is that why you mentioned it? If so I’m gobsmacked that you remembered, lol.
Aye, I do remember it featuring in Alesia's runs! The problem with storing such information is that it must have kept out something important during all those years, lol!

Anyway, it's great to see you back. I've trying to progress with SoA lately, so I'm a bit behind with the write-ups, but I'll do my best to catch up. It's much more immersive when the posting is up to date.
