Since we lost the old thread, unfortunately, let's start a new one to share music we like!

I remember one of the first tracks I shared was Apocalyptica: Path, which incidentally was used in a trailer for Death Stranding too.



Also, Élan , one of my favourite songs and very motivational, from my favourite band Nightwish.

Also, IIRC m7600 who started the original thread did so by introducing us to the unique style of the band Tinariwen with their song "Sastanàqqàm" , a great example of mixing traditional music of their Tuareg heritage with modern elements.



And Eternal followed the direction of "mix of folk and modern elements" with the awesome Mongolian metal band "The Hu".



(I didn't want to tag people as not everyone has been active lately and I don't want to be intrusive. I'm just trying to restore what I remember and hope all of you will share again or more or different music. I loved the old thread. Let's work on a new one together.)

Hope everyone who celebrates is having a wonderful Thanksgiving. My family is actually getting together tomorrow, just works better for everyone involved.

As such, I'm taking it easy after a furious few days. I'm an unabashed fan of David Coverdale (even if the lyrical content of basically... everything from Whitesnake is as banal as can be) and will always love this tune. Wouldn't have minded seeing this Deep Purple lineup stay together longer.

Another controversial statement: I like Venom more (a lot more) than the black metal bands that appeared later (Mayhem, Emperor, Darkthrone, etc.). @alice_ashpool probably thinks I'm crazy to say that.

I am not sure how applicable this is to everyone, but I thought I would ask anyway: Do any of you have a favorite musical instrument?

I have a few favorites myself. I like brass instruments a lot (possibly because I played a tuba in high school). I also like some of the largest instruments in the world: pipe organs. I like the chimes too. Bagpipes are pretty good too, believe it or not...

As far as what I can play? Bass. (Though, I've been torturing the skins on my drums in recent weeks).

As for what I can't: Piano. Just simply a beautiful instrument.
