To explain a bit about how I feel: I feel like a child in front of a box with gifts. I don't know what the gifts will be, but I'm excited. It's the time of the year I always look forward to: with more than 4 shows, I'm sure we'll see a lot of games announced and showcased. Almost all the games that have already been released (and that even have been played by me)-- I've seen first during similar summer days in previous years.
I hope we'll still see some cool stuff. Summer Game Fest stream yesterday was... well, I don't have much to compare, but I found it rather boring, there were tons of games that I'm not even mildly interested in, and the amount of "headshot, jump scares and gore" kind of games... well let's just say I wasn't thrilled.
Witchfire looked interesting and had nice music in the trailer, but I'm not sure what to think of shooting+magic as a combo, and it's supposed to be a roguelite. We'll see.
Among the Indie games, that climate change strategy survival thing called Highwater looked okay, but again, perhaps only by contrast to the lots of stuff that didn't touch me in the slightest.
Maybe that's harsh, and maybe I didn't go in as free of expectations as I thought, but I seriously hope to see more in the PC Gaming Show and the Bethesda showcase, or I'll be disappointed.
