The Candlekeep Annex: RPed Baldur’s Gate No and Low Reload Adventures

They aren't actually too hard. There are a few different ways of tackling them. One is to leave traps where they materialise. Another is to run to where one of them casts cloudkill and when you get there use a potion of invisibility and run to a place of safety. The cloudkilll will then kill...

@Alesia_BH You probably already know this, but a trip to Durlag's upper levels as far as the wardens is great for boosting a solo thief. Use oil of speed to avoid conflict!

Journal of Livara Time for the mines. Lamalha and cronies next followed by revenant. Morvin et al fell next followed by wyvern in transit. I wasn't expecting those! I finished the bandit camp by being sneaky. No deaths!

Journal of Livara At the gnoll stronghold the shaman proved to be dangerous, but I prevailed.. Droth proved to be even more dangerous. I was forced to flee and use healing potions. Shoal was easier as were the sirine. Killing a few ankheg boosted my level and gold supply.

Journal of Livara I killed basilisks, Medusae, and Mutamin after which I hunted a few ankheg.. The ones outside seemed to be the most dangerous.

Journal of Livara Reunited Albert and Rufie before killing Vax and Zal. A polar bear attacked me whilst in transit! I then helped a dryad, helped Drienne's cat, and killed Ingot. I then went to deal with Bassilus and afterwards returned Perdue's sword. I killed some powerful wolves...

@Alesia_BH Your knowledge of the game is most impressive. In some respects I'm glad that I don't have such intricate knowledge as it means that I keep on getting surprises. :)

Tarnesh definitely stood in my way. He cast horror and I fled right to the other side of the Inn, him injuring me with spells all the way. Then Ishlilka, an orcish fighter asked to join the party. (from a mod) I said yes and she took the heat. I immediately bade her farewell afterwards. I...

When I came across the image on the web, I thought, "What a great portrait for a dagger wielding Drow!" I believe that my family were on the lookout for land that they could "Acquire," when spotted by a party of elves who took steps to prevent this. I was hiding inside a well-hidden cave...

Journal of Balduran of Karatur In Beregost, while I calmed down Marl, took a tome to Firebead, and bought a sling for Carlo, he investigated the town and returned a lot richer. I am hoping that he gained all the loot honestly, but have my suspicions that he didn't. After meeting up again we...

As I had lost track of my run Balduran of Karatur the Dwarven Inquisitor and also because I discovered that my drow thief was overpowered, I have started a new different but similar one. It is Balduran of Karatur the Dwarven Cavalier with a Dwarven Swashbuckler Companion. Journal of Balduran of...

Journal of Ffion I used up most of my healing potions getting as far as Mulahey. I charmed him and he killed the kobolds and skeletons. I left and lured those outside to be killed by Mulahey. I then lured the ghoul inside and he held Mulahey before killing him. I was thankful that I was able...

Journal of Ffion I returned Joia's ring after delivering Samuel to the FAI. After charming a guard he took on and defeated Tarnesh. Now a fully fledged hero. :) The ogre with the belt fetish was killed by wolves after I charmed him. I then helped Eltolth get back into shape.

I will continue the above game later, but I would first like to see if I can finish a non-violent thief game in EE. I managed it in Tutu, but I think that it could now be more difficult. Algernon's cloak can now only be used once between sleeps. A significant difference! In Candlekeep I...

A new run with a Dwarven Inquisitor and a Drow War Scout, (Fighter thief) I'm glad to be playing a good character again. I'm far more comfortable with that. I rolled a Lawful Good Dwarven Fighter and used EE Keeper to make him and Inquisitor. For the Drow I used keeper to adjust a...

Journal of Adin I was badly injured by gibberlings and a wolf as I went for the ring of protection on the way to the FAI. However, I escaped, picked up the ring of wizardry and rested. Using blindness, charm and sleep, I killed the hobgoblins, gaining useful scrolls in the process. Then...

I thought that it would be interesting to play an enchantress as she would not have a lot of my commonly used spells. Quite a steep learning curve. She's a drow and has a drow robe and staff. I used my trusty staff to great effect against an assassin. It is only usable by the evil. I then used...

Journal of Edwin At Beregost I calmed down Marl and took a tome to Firebead. I then bought some spells at High Hedge. Sadly I failed to memorise magic missile. I headed for the FAI and was badly injured by gibberlings. Nevertheless, I survived and found a useful ring there. R&R was the order...

If you play a good character such as a Paladin, it becomes clear that your task is to overcome the taint of Bhaal's blood in your veins. :) No doubt, if you play an evil character, that is NOT the case.
