Day 47 Continued: Brage Faces Justice
19th Kythorn, 1368 DR
In the pre-dawn darkness, we entered the pirate’s cave we had discovered. It was a magically-trapped cavern guarded by flesh golem sentries. One of them almost killed me with a shocking blow, but ultimately they were vulnerable to...
I've been slowing writing BG playthroughs for several years now. I have a few completed ones:

Day 44 Continued: Rescuing Dynaheir
16th Kythorn, 1368 DR
Light snow flurries began as the chilly evening grew late–we were at a high enough altitude and received enough cool air from the coast that we witnessed the rare sight of snow in Kythorn. And amidst this backdrop, we stormed the gnoll...
Day 37 Continued: Early Camp
9th Kythorn, 1368 DR
Kivan was badly wounded from the fighting (and from some Firewine traps that Imoen did not detect in time); most of Neera’s and my spells were spent. We surfaced back to the ruined bridge and paid our leave to it, satisfied with our vanquishing...
[I added date stamps to all the daily entries…couldn’t stop myself once the idea got incepted into my head. I had to read about how the Faerun calendar works.]
Day 34 Continued: The Ulcaster Ruins
6th Kythorn, 1368 DR
We scoured the surface ruins as the evening wore on. We eventually got into...
Day 28 Continued: Flooding the Mine
30th Mirtul, 1368 DR
Using the river plug key we got from Davaeorn, we flooded the mine. The slave miners had been slowly making their escape since the early morning when the relevant guards had been killed or bribed. Any remaining bandits, mercenaries, or...
Day 26 Continued: Finding the Iron Throne Base
28th Mirtul, 1368 DR
As mid-day approached, we realized the reason for the presence of all the wyvern spawn: a nearby nest, occupied by two fully mature wyverns. Kivan’s stealthiness and accuracy with his bow allowed us to separate the creatures...
Yes! Haha.
I'll admit I've never been a big Sanctuary user. I just always forget about its utility and end up using stealth or something else. Maybe this will be the playthrough to change that!
Two comments:
1. As far as the Merchant's League, I'm sure there is an option to NOT lie or use subterfuge. Of course, that will lead to a battle. But remember--nothing says you have to kill anyone. You can use non-lethal means such as sleep, Confusion, Hold, Charm, etc. I don't think the 2nd...
I don't know if I can see a good motivation for a Paladin to do the Werewolf Island quest. The "good" angle is that the Merchant's League are bad guys, at least because of their greed, and you are somehow restoring justice by getting to Balduran's Isle first and preserving this supposed history...
Day 23 Continued: Phase Spiders and an Early Evening
25th Mirtul, 1368 DR
Eventually the giant spider encounters became less frequent, although not first without having to deal with a trio of phase spiders right around noon. One of the beasts was able to penetrate my armor and sink its...
Yes, I don't want want to think about it too much ahead of time--might compromise the decision-making in the instant. However...how could I not think about it?? Since I'll be dualing at level 12, that should put me right around Athkatla in Chapter 2-ish in BG2. Getting into urban adventures and...
Day 19 Continued: Leaving the Woods of Sharp Teeth
21st Mirtul, 1368 DR
All day we traveled west back through the Woods of Sharp Teeth. The trek was long and uneventful, the forest sounds filling the silence for most of the journey. With the time to think, I resolved that I must venture into...
Sounds awesome.
I have been before in the absolute depths of transferring over written BG runs from the Beamdog forums to this one. Different ways to embed screenshots, different text limits, different file size requirements, getting lost re-reading, debating on best time to do it...ohhh yeah...
[Day 229 Continued - Defeating Korlasz]
By nightfall, we had defeated Korlasz. I spent some time exploring the rest of the tomb and battling undead, but with fatigue setting in once again and all of Sarevok’s allies destroyed, we finally made our exit to the surface.
[Days 230-243 - Finally...
[Day 216 Continued - Revealing Sarevok’s Treachery]
As the wild afternoon wore on, we were able to distract some more guards and deliver Eltan to the Harbor Master. Eltan had known about an assassination attempt on the other Dukes, and a note recovered on “Rashad” confirmed the details. While I...
[Day 208 - More Travel through Cloakwood Pt. 2]
Our travel through Cloakwood continued. We made camp at night.
[Day 209 - More Travel through Cloakwood Pt. 3]
Another day, we attempted to make our leave from Cloakwood, and another day there was a wyvern attack.
[Day 210 - The Escape from...
[Day 199 Continued - The Death of Yeslick]
For several hours of the afternoon into the night, we roamed the catacombs looking for our exit. I recovered a few valuable tomes and manuals from the catacombs, as well as a handful of some powerful magic items that will help me resolve this evil that...
