Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous General Discussion, Playthroughs and Minimal/No Reload Thread

Just did spawn to remind myself on Challenging. If anyone was wondering - much easier in Turn Based. 1. Cast no buffs at all, summon nothing - very important. 2. Have Octavia or another ray-caster nuke Xelliren to initiate combat with a maximised Hellfire. This will kill in one. 3. Valerie into...

Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous General Discussion, Playthroughs and Minimal/No Reload Thread

188 days until ancient curse part 7. All regions claimed and upgraded fully, all resource locations claimed, all stats at X, Every area cleared and Farnirras killed. 2 quests left: Spawn of Rovagug and secret of suramgamin (which I apparently forgot about) + the endgame. About 50% of...

Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous General Discussion, Playthroughs and Minimal/No Reload Thread

For Spawn of Rovagug it has been a long time since I did it, but it requires a really aggressive strategy. Last time iirc: Massive Amiri and Valerie - hitting things Octavia - Grandmaster's Rod + Hellfire rays Jubilost - Fast Holy Bombs Harrim - For the Holy Aura, Mass Heals and Plague-Storm MC...

Vampire Survivors is one of the best games of the year. And it costs <£2.00

Hard to say if you don't "get it" but basically yes, you described it perfectly - its amazingly simple, its addictive, its cheap, its satisfying. Someone joked that that the designer used to make slot machine games. Someone else that when your parents said video games would rot your brain they...

Baldur's Gate Trilogy No Reloads Run

Found I seemed to have a full video recording of a BG1 NR solo monk SCS Insane (no double damage) run. Thinking about uploading it for someone to groan at.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous General Discussion, Playthroughs and Minimal/No Reload Thread

My expectations were low, and I love WotR combat so I am fine with this DLC, but I think at a more objective "good rpg" level it is pretty mediocre, especially considering the price and can understand why people would be unhappy. I am satisfied, but It is nothing special and needs more work at...

Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous General Discussion, Playthroughs and Minimal/No Reload Thread

Biggest issues with the DLC at the moment: 1. No official place to rest 2. Can't respec default level 20 companions 3. No decent potion seller 4. Lots of stuff for sale but no-one sells those great staffs 5. Nenio and Woljif's spell selection is very poor.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous General Discussion, Playthroughs and Minimal/No Reload Thread

Some little cool bits from the DLC Cracking those Vavlakia is tough, I fought another one which had 1800+ HP, thats pretty rough when you're doing 6 damage per miss from destructive shock-wave. Try that in turn based!

Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous General Discussion, Playthroughs and Minimal/No Reload Thread

Been playing a Solo seeker Sorceress 20 on the DLC - demon path and hacking my way through things ;) Some screenshots from a typical DLC fight - its tough.

You're right, there is deffo a bit of lag/hang in character creation for me too, but it resolves.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous General Discussion, Playthroughs and Minimal/No Reload Thread

Also haven't played much of it but the fights so far are super cool on Core. Special mention for doing it with the pre-built companions with some feat choices I would not have made. (Daeran Necromancy specialism....ok not the worst, but then no Animate dead....why! Wenduag bows.... meh, Nenio...

Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous General Discussion, Playthroughs and Minimal/No Reload Thread

My game ran fine after the update - suspect that issues might be to do with mods, as usual.

    Mercenaries in RPGs

Mercs are a nice option for later playthroughs and messing around, or in games like IWD that are designed for them. But I am pro-companions as an essential part of any party-based rpg.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous General Discussion, Playthroughs and Minimal/No Reload Thread

Compared to Vordakai's, Armag's Tomb is a nice afternoon walk. Poor Armag, that sword really did a number on his will saves!

Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous General Discussion, Playthroughs and Minimal/No Reload Thread

Winning Amiri's Duel on Challenging as a Single-class Barbarian This duel is notoriously difficult. Technically you cannot win - but you can force outside intervention if you get Armag's health down low enough. Method 1 - Heart of Ira Invisible Heart of Ira. This works on almost everything in...

Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous General Discussion, Playthroughs and Minimal/No Reload Thread

Some highlights form Vordakai's Tomb at level 12. I did manage the run to Vordakai himself in one rest on challenging which I am always really pleased about - it's really tough imo, especially taking Tristian instead of Harrim - though saving a few Searing Lights to make stage 1 of Vordakai easy...
