I'm curious to see this applied to ranged weapons in my current run, should we manage to get that far. Also, it could offer some interesting options for Polymorph: Self, Avengers and Shapeshifters.
That makes perfect sense. Slow on offence, fast on defense!
I found the relevant post. The...
I wanted to give you a bit of an update (including a spoiler), just to let you know that we've not been idle - Orrin and his party have just defeated Slythe and Krystin and they're getting ready for their trial by fire at the Ducal Palace. I'll catch up with the detailed reports next week, as...
It's fierce, true, but seeing an invisible Aerial Servant in the log (which was the case in the past) might be even scarier! Edit: The pun was not intended!
@Alesia_BH I finally managed to catch up with your latest progress. Great stuff - it's nice to see your characters maturing into their specific roles, with each of them having their distinct set of strategies and tricks. I suppose I'm starting to understand the appeal of a party play, though it...
Orrin, human archer: Part 4 - Money & Glitter(dust) (continued)
We could now return to Durlag's Tower to finish what we had started in the previous session. After dealing with the one remaining Battle Horror with MMs and Wand of Frost (from the tree at Nashkel Mines), we entered the tower...
Orrin, human archer: Part 4 - Money & Glitter(dust)
In our next session, we ventured south in search of monetary gains. Thanks to the iron crisis, the market for magical longswords was quite bullish and they traded at inflated prices. Greywolf had one and we didn't need any - a fortunate...
Orrin, human archer: Part 3 - All good deeds, mostly (continued)
In the halfling village, Montaron unscrupulously raided the homes of his kin for Potion of Defense, Wand of Magic Missiles and our second magical sling.
We stopped briefly at Durlag's Tower only to find out that the Battle...
Orrin, human archer: Part 3 - All good deeds, mostly
We're not yet the heroes some of us aspire to be (we're looking at you Ajantis), but to some residents of Beregost our actions at least provided a varying degree of solace in their lives.
It felt good to be useful.
I'm not sure what books...
The contest might be slightly biased in favor of the Stoneskin-less trio, but I'd cast my vote to Imoen nevertheless. Sharp as a razor!
Anyway, congratulations for reaching Ust Natha, in spite of the hair-raising moments in the Spellhold labyrinth! I should say that your approach has been very...
Correct - for sale. I've checked and Sorsha got hers at the Promenade (presumably from Ribald). Note that this was with the SCS "more copies of hard-to-find scrolls" component installed.
@Alesia_BH I'm fairly positive that I always got one Spell Shield scroll circulating between Bernard/Ribald/Trademeet smithy/Kich (Trademeet)/Jayes (Promenade), so I thought that it's actually guaranteed. Kudos for embracing the scarcity and deciding to proceed nevertheless!
@m7600 Thank you so much for mentioning this! I've always found it to be one of the most classy takes on the whole vampire theme out there. Actually, I couldn't help but to think of Bodhi's lair when visiting the Valley of the Kings.
Orrin, human archer: Part 2 - En route to Nashkel
Fishermen like to tell stories, alright. Krakens the size of a castle, undead pirate crews wandering the oceans for all eternity, flesh eating sirens with lovely voices, whirlpools that can drag you into another worlds - we all heard those with...
I appreciate where the changes might be coming from, in particular the idea to make the enchanters feel more relevant at the later stages of the game by allowing them to toss Symbols over Malison, however I'd agree that it's mostly going to affect the way you protect yourself against these...
It's encouraging to hear that in spite of your track record and accomplishments you're still learning. Overall, I think that these forums (including its predecessors) are indeed a practical example of the Kaizen philosophy of continuous improvement :).
Anyway, I'm starting to see the end of my...
Hey friends!
I'm not sure I can add anything helpful on top of what @Enuhal and @Alesia_BH have already mentioned, although I'll specifically comment on the demon knights - it's a tough one, undoubtedly, however I'd try leverage as much as possible the fact that they all have the same...
Wow, either Alena's interplanar travel has curved the space time continuum or my watchdog's is now able to predict your future posts! In case of the latter, any tips how to toggle that feature in a stock trading app?
