Something that I didn't think would be that good! Was pleasantly surprised! Really want to play more Neverwinter Nights at some point in the future. A video about the second game feels like a MUST.
The issue with video game storytelling (in my opinion) will always be the fact that it's essentially a plane without a pilot. Whatever narrative the writers come up with is being driven, not by a well-thought-out, deep character and those around them, but the player. A guy or gal who just got...
And, here it is.
I spend the first half of the video going through the old Keep on the Borderlands module, so if there's any old-school tabletop gamers around, that will probably interest them. Good fun all around.
Hey all,
Just released a video about Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos, a dungeon crawler from 1994, made by the same folks behind the first two Eye of the Beholder games. Probably best known for the fact that it (somehow) features Patrick Stewart in it's voice cast. It's a great time all...
Baeloth is the best.
And, I should say, though I'm not the biggest fan of it, the second game does have some more concrete connections to the main games, specifically SOD.
Hey all,
I currently may or may not be working on something involving the Black Pits and I was curious to know what other people think about it.
For me, it's a fun exercise in the combat of the infinity engine, mainly in the way that it removes the impact that non-combat elements have on party...
Bumping after I finally got around to catching up on most things E3.
At this point, as someone that has spent incredible amounts of time playing the Elder Scrolls games, I just find it impossible to excite myself for anything Bethesda might be doing at the moment.
I know the world got turned...
Hey all,
Recently made a video talking about Dungeon Hack and figured I'd post it here in case anyone may be interested.
Think Eye of the Beholder in randomized dungeons. Great fun and a steal everywhere it can be bought.
Hey all,
Anyone that has played Temple of Elemental Evil knows that there's a point where Iuz (yes, the god) is summoned against the party. Thankfully, St. Cuthbert comes in not long after to save the party and drive Iuz away.
I decided that I didn't need Cuthbert's help.
(How I did it is in...
Thank you for the kind words @Antimatter!
For me, the difference in difficulty between BG and IWD is more than IWD forces the player to adjust to different enemies a bit more often. BG has the player spending too much time fighting bandits for my tastes. Both are great, obviously, but IWD just...
G O D H O O D
Sorry for the lack of updating. Just put a lot more focus into make sure I got the video done. I'll be sure to post it here when it gets up, considering it's just about finished!
Kind of a weird thing, but I don't think I've ever had a character that physically couldn't miss an (reasonable) enemy barring a critical hit.
Needless to say, rolling a 2 and hitting feels pretty good.
