BG2: "Not enough Free Disk Space to Save the Game"

So I decided to take a break from my BG1 run to play BG2 but when starting the game I was greeted with the phrase "Not enough disk space to save the game" and some files listed as "Invalid" with a series of numbers next to them. My BG1 game is just fine, I'm not certain what is going on. Could someone help me? I'm posting this on both forums

ake sure you're running the game in ana administrator account or run the game with administrator privileges.

Make sure the file paths are correct too.

There's an old bug that blocks access of the game to a folder if it's not in administrative mode.

@mlnevese I'm running it with the only account I have which is an adminstrator account. Is there something else I'm missing? I tried running using Adminstrative Mode but it still gave me the same problem

Is it at all possible I have too many mods installed?

Do you have multiple hard drives e.g. a separate SSD boot drive for your operating system? If so one game could be trying to save to a packed SSD and the other to the much larger disk drive with plenty of free space.

No my computer only had one hard drive

It may be your install is corrupted somehow? it's happened before with me, are you using EE? Steam, Beamdog loader, or something else; or original version?

They're both Enhanced Edition and using the Beamdog Client. BG1 works just fine, BG2 is causing me problems

Have you tried verifying game files? Like this:

Seems I'll have to reinstall the mods if I try this but I will give it a shot thanks @alice_ashpool

I'm now attempting to reinstall the game

Edit: It worked, I can save games now. Hopefully I can still save games after I reinstall the mods
