A great video. You have a nice voice and humour. I was very amused by your interactions with Jenassa - you are a great team! I've only watched 1 episode so far. The survival element makes the game look fresh.

I do not know if it is convenient for you, but there is an option: spells selected as a favourite (via the F key) can be assigned to quick numbers (1-9). E.g., if you bind number 4 to the healing spell, then by pressing 4 you equip it in your right hand. If you press 4 twice, then the healing spell is equipped in both hands at the same time. If you bind Flames, for example, to 3, then when pressed it will replace the healing spell in the right hand. This way, you can quickly switch between spells and adapt to any situation.

Hi Eternal! Thank you for the kind words!

I don't know if I have a nice voice but I am glad you're enjoying my content! And, I agree, Jenassa is a super cool companion!

The survival element definitely gives you more things to think about. And there are parts of Skyrim that can easily kill you if you don't prepare properly.

Thank you for the tip on the hotkeys, this is a blind playthrough for all hints like this are very welcome! If you happen to be around on my next live stream, please drop by and say hello Eternal! ^_^

This game gives such a cozy feeling, even from just watching a stream.

I've thought I should tell you about safe storage.
  • All chests and containers inside purchasable houses.
  • All containers in the Abandoned House in Markarth.
  • The chest in Delphine's secret room inside the Sleeping Giant Inn.
  • The end table and wardrobe inside the ruined Helgen Inn.
  • The wardrobe in Riverside Shack.
  • The end table located in the Alchemist's Shack.
  • The Apothecary's Satchel located in the cellar of Anise's Cabin (and, by extension, the remaining containers within the house).
  • All the containers located within Drelas' Cottage.
  • The Arch-Mage's Quarters after completing the College of Winterhold questline.
  • The chest at the entrance of Sky Haven Temple.
  • The metallic chest at the top of Valtheim Towers.
  • The ice runner chest in Broken Oar Grotto after the quest.
  • The chest inside Idgrod the Younger's room, in Highmoon Hall, Morthal.
  • All East Empire Company Strongboxes.
  • Severin Manor, if one has completed Served Cold.
  • All "wardrobes" and "bookcases" within the Volkihar Keep are safe for storage. Unless otherwise noted, the remaining containers respawn after ten days along with the rest of the keep.
  • All the containers within plots on which homesteads are constructed and within all homes that have been purchased.
  • The Chest in Weylin's Room after purchasing it.
  • The chest in front of High Hrothgar, where Klimmek's Supplies are to be placed for his miscellaneous quest.
If you don't have homesteads and purchasable houses yet, I recommend Anise's Cabin. It's very close to Whiterun.

If you store your items into other containers, you're risking losing your items. Most containers reset after about a week of game time, however, examining the contents of the container causes the countdown to start over. A container could be made to never reset simply by opening it once every 5–6 days or so. Any items left in a container that has reset are lost forever.

This is fantastic @Antimatter! Thank you for these tips, I hope you keep them coming as I make my way through Skyrim: Anniversary Edition. ^_^

Considering the flavour of your playthrough, I think I should mention the Ritual Stone - it's located not far away from Whiterun. The power this stone grants is a bit different from the Conjuration spells you've used.

The Ritual Stone gives you the power to raise corpses to fight for you for about one hour of in-game time (so it's really long). The power also allows you to raise corpses that can usually not be reanimated, such as mammoths or giants.

On top of that, note the corpses in the plural. The Ritual Stone power spreads out in a sphere several feet wide around you when cast, reanimating any NPCs or creatures within its radius. Its power works on corpses up to level 75 (!) This limit can be further increased using the Necromage perk.

You can build yourself a personal army of any size. You can re-animate anything except dragons. And they don't turn to ash when they collapse. You can re-animate them as many times as you want, once per day.

Holy smokes! I have to do this next! Thanks for the suggestion @Antimatter!

I think it's really cool what you're doing. I have to admit I only gave the Skyrim episodes a very careful side glance, though, for fear of spoilers.

Can you or anyone else here who has watched those episodes recommend a part of it that I can safely watch to get a good impression of the game without stumbling across things that I shouldn't know yet?

Hey @Urdnot_Wrex! Honestly, it is such a big game, and there are so many ways to play it - I wouldn't worry about watching Skyrim videos.

I am following people like WolfheartFPS and RagnarokTotalWar and they are doing completely different things in their own playthroughs, stuff I may never experience in my own. ^_^
