For sure! We're all among our peeps here lol
Also, along the Oregon Trail, for a follow up different branch, I'm less interested in the lost John Wayne (though he could probably just be like a Westworld robot or something) it's really more Ann Rutherford's lost character that peaked my interest. She was in that one show with Mickey Rooney in the 40s, and then a bit character in that one flick with Bruce Dern about the dog who saved Hollywood...
"After escaping the dog pound, a German Shepherd links up with a budding actress and a wannabe film screenwriter and then becomes a Hollywood star."
Sounds brilliant! "Originally titled a Bark is Born..." with more cameos than should be possible for a single dog movie. It was just panned abysmally when it came out, in the same era as Death Wish, but apparently she was in there somewhere. Plus a few other flicks from the 30s and 40s featuring the dogs. Mon Film, no doubt lol. Like a whole theme I guess.
I only learned from researching potential Secret Agent Provocateurs for a high concept Axis and Allies game. She had an excellent hat in this image, which I had saved as being particularly flashy. Laying the hammer down!
Anyway, roundabout way of saying that an Axis and Allies movie or show would be also be funny. Particularly if it played out the way the game does, with a second Pearl Harbor attack, D-Day happening like 6 times in a row, and the ever present threat of Japanese tanks bearing down on Moscow. The more specific the humor the better. Hearts of Iron or Call of Duty might stand a better chance, but I just think it's always better if we can set something in 1984 before time warping backwards.
ps. knock on thought. Drifting more towards shows and flicks that could be made into games and then back into movies again I guess. Everyone knows of Rin Tin Tin from WW1 and Rin Tin Tin III from WWII right, but Strongheart would be another good one! They do occasionally try this stuff for the war horses, but I think an epic biopic adventure about Strongheart dog star would be pretty engaging.
