😲 You found me!
Thank you for the kind words - and...let me know if you (or any others!) want to join the adventure! I'm recruiting for my run through the game!

Well, after you said you make videos, it was as easy as typing your name into a search bar ;)

As @Antimatter has already suggested, don't be shy to share/promote your stuff here, I doubt we'll draw as many visitors as, say, Twitter, but we're more long-lasting, and we appreciate when people make an effort to create something!

As for the recruitment, even if I get the game soon, I doubt my RL obligations and time zone differences would allow me reasonable time for multiplayer.
But maybe @WarChiefZeke or @mlnevese or in fact anyone else are interested?

This game is great! The character customization and different builds for each class kept me playing for a while. I stopped playing after I got tired of seeing the same events occurring in different campaigns, but it was a blast to play.

Mystics in particular are a lot of fun to play. Instead of the usual casting spells, they can interfuse with different objects on the field and unleash a number of different actions and attacks based on what they interfuse with. There are also various skills that can be selected when the characters level up that empower and provide new actions when interfusing.

Warriors are good too, though I found tanks (at least the armor-based ones) to be less useful than dodge/block tanks with better movement and damage, especially when they get old. Age can affect their speed, causing heavily armored characters to move very slowly, to the point where they fall behind everyone else in the group, rendering them practically useless.

Hunters are the ‘rogue’ class, and they have some very good options for both ranged an melee builds. One of my favorite characters is a wolf-transformed melee hunter who attacks multiple enemies from stealth, giving hiving him backstab damage, which almost always kills the target, then go back into stealth after killing said target due to a passive skill, then attacking another enemy using the wolf transformation’s unique skills, which also does backstab damage, and, you guessed it, going back into stealth after killing that one too. This just repeats until I run out of enemies in my immediate vicinity. The icing on the cake is that the hunter is usually stealthed after his turn ends (due to killing his last target), so the enemy can’t retaliate against him.

With regards to retirement, it is worth noting that your characters will occasionally, but not always, have a personal quest attached to them that, once completed, will postpone their retirement by ten years (about the length of time that passes between a story’s chapters). This allows you to keep playing the character for longer. There are also some random events that can alter their retirement age, but these are rarely encountered, in my experience.

Some events have the potential to transform your characters, such as the wolf-man transformation on my hunter in the above example. They won’t always be the best thing for your build, but sometimes that just makes them more fun in unexpected ways.

Oh sorry, I didn't mean for you to join in on multiplayer fun. All of the characters I use in these kinds of games are people I interact with on social media - they provide me with names, some customization options, and they get to see their characters in the game grow (and hopefully not die due to my bad decisions 😅).

I'm creating the videos this way so that things like time zone differences, RL obligations, etc. don't get in the way of participation - you're still in there, but you can watch the story unfold at your own pace! I realize it doesn't provide the same immediate interactivity that streams do, but through video comments and other conversations that happen asynchronously, I hope to bring my viewer's characters to life in the games I play!

Right, I should have known, especially after sharing the link to that video of yours above!
Sudden overload of brain RAM!

Creating videos without the pressure of a livestream sounds like a good alternative, both for watchers and for you.

And yes, having people provide input to make "their" characters that you take through the game sounds great, makes it a lot more personal!

I'm still trying to figure out what transformations work best with what classes. Struggling in some campaigns on the harder difficulties so I figured i'd optimize some characters. The werewolf works great for hunters or warriors, same with the wereraven. All of the elemental powers are pretty much useless on a hunter, they can be used but there are pretty much the most redundant option and don't mesh with hunter stats, provide moderate utility to warriors but really shine in a mages hands. The crystalline power is clearly meant for warriors. I haven't really explored the rest yet. Skipped the undead transformation on a character and now sort of regret it.

There are some transformations that I would definitely recommend you only take some parts of. The rock and tree arms are both good for knockback, but the legs suck because they lower movement. They’re both meant for armor builds, but armor builds in my experience are inferior to dodge/block builds. The bear form’s head gives bonus health, but I wasn’t impressed with the arms or legs. It’s probably best for a warrior, but I personally wouldn’t use it at all.

Wings are good for every class, since they provide extra movement, as well as a really good dodge bonus with the flying skill that comes with them.

The shadow transformation in my opinion is pretty sick for warriors an hunters, since it gives speed, a passive life drain on hit, and the ability to pass through objects. Really useful for dodge tanks, imo.

The nature spirit transformation has one of the few healing skills in the game, so it could be useful on a mystic. Celestial is pretty much the same as the elemental forms, best for mystic.

The real thing to remember with transformations is you don’t have to go fully into one, so you can reject the rock or tree legs for instance. You can also unlock a second transformation in one character, so in essence you can grab one transformation’s legs that boost speed, as well as another transformation’s arms or head (you can also just leave the arms as normal so you can use one of the artifact weapons and shields).

The undead transformation is practically made for mystics, since the dagger that comes with it boosts the power of their magic. It also functions as a permanently upgraded top tier dagger, so melee mystics can get some usage out of it. The other skills and boosts aren’t bad either.

Something else to remember is that the damage from any transformed parts or skills gained from transformation is determined by the character’s potency and bonus damage stats, so the higher those two stats are, the more damage you’ll do.

With all of this said, I think I should mention that I haven’t played the game in months (not because it isn’t fun, I just finished all the main stories and several randomly generated ones by that point). My memory could be a little fuzzy with some things.
