I don't know what European conventions are, but here in the Southeast U.S., a golf clap is usually used in a sarcastic context, such as after someone has a spectacular accident or pitfall. It says "Bravo, epic fail there."

But when I see those hands on the forum, I just think it means "applause", and the person is saying "Good point," or "Well done!"

Wow, That's interesting. I never knew and I'm in the Northeast U.S. where people are always looking for a reason to be rude. :p

With that in mind, can I request "golf clap" be replaced by "applause"? I don't want to be an unintended asshole when I only intend to give someone something more enthusiastic than a simple thumbs up. Can I even say "asshole" here? Because I just said it twice. :)

As long as swearing doesn't translate into an eldritch thing summoning ritual, we are all right with it... Just do not directly attack others in the forum and we are cool. Discussing a topic is great, offending someone because of it, is not.

The forum now supports the embedding of many more sites, including TikTok. Twitter, YouTube, and other sources should now be embedded even better. Enjoy.
