Luke, Halfling Fighter: Part 4 – Cloakwood, Bad Decisions, and the Long Road Back
Luke wanted the Iron Crisis over and done with—every day it dragged on was another day the Grand Tournament stayed shuttered. So he made straight for Cloakwood. The forest was quiet… until four giant spiders...
Sorry to hear that about Edric. It was lot of fun following his run :-(
Can you actually open the door behind this party without the scroll from Adalon or talking your way into them opening it for you? I always though it can't be opened. On one of my playthroughs, Solaufein was on his way back...
That sounds actually like a great idea! I found there is a 'everflowing mug' in DnD https://dnd.arkalseif.info/items/magic-item-compendium--73/everfull-mug--396/index.html
Could be something similar. I've never modded anything in the game, though I guess it shouldn't be too hard. I will have a...
As @Borco mentioned, it must be UB mod. Totally forgot I still had that as I installed it along with some NPC mods on my last party playthrough and never did a clean install.
I double checked all the mods just to be sure and I still have a few others, but I think it must be one of the UB mods...
Yeah, I can totally see them as late bloomers when UIA hits. Swashbuckler was one of three choices for my dart thrower actually (other being Archer). I will definitely try it one day. I think for the dart thrower it's the other way around, easy ride in BG1, really hard in BG2 and close to...
Luke, Halfling Fighter: Part 3 – The Nashkel Mines & Bandit Camp
Luke never liked tight spaces, and the Nashkel Mines were a claustrophobic nightmare. So, true to form, he popped a potion of invisibility and snuck through the dark, twisting tunnels until he finally found the source of the...
Luke, halfling fighter: Part 2
Luke was starting to enjoy the wilderness.
The air was fresh, the roads were unpredictable, and his new magical darts gave him the confidence of a half-drunk god. So when he stumbled across a group of adventurers having a heated discussion around a campfire, he...
This sounds like a great and fun build, congratz on getting that far! I was thinking of doing an AC tank build one day myself, it will be fun to follow Ava's progress and take some inspiration.
I've never used Soul Reaver, but it was my main choice for Luke when I created him in those cases...
Luke, halfling fighter: Part 1
When Gorion told Luke they’d be leaving Candlekeep to travel the Sword Coast for dart tournaments, Luke could barely contain himself. Finally—his chance to see the world and prove himself on the grand stage!
Naturally, he threw a farewell party.
He invited...
Luke, Halfling Fighter: Introduction
Summer holiday is over, and I thought about trying a new no-reload char. I wanted to do something fun and not very serious, so I decided to go for a dart thrower. Will also try to make it a more role play wise writing, thought with my writing skills I don’t...
I think this is the most important no-reload tip. When I was reading about classes for no-reload, there were few mentions being talked about all the time. But one person wrote exactly this - no reload runs end usually because of concentration failure and that goes down if you play something that...
Hi Sucellus and welcome!
I totally feel what you are writing there, I felt exactly like that before I started my no-reload solo Sorcerer run. I've played BG2 for over 20 years, but in one solo no reload run (ended up low reload) I learned more about arcane spell system than I learned in 20...
Ryland (human blade @Borco) & Kalam (halfling assassin), multiplayer run: Part 13 - Irenicus Dungeon 2
After grabbing a bit of rest, Kalam and Ryland quickly realized the tunnels weren’t done with them yet — fresh duergar showed up to investigate where their last patrols had mysteriously...
Ryland (human blade @Borco) & Kalam (halfling assassin), multiplayer run: Part 12 - Irenicus Dungeon 1
After the fall of Sarevok, Ryland and Kalam barely had time to celebrate their victory before darkness closed in around them. Whatever triumph they’d earned in the depths of Baldur’s Gate was...
After wrapping up the iron crisis, Ryland and Kalam figured they’d earned themselves a stroll through Baldur’s Gate. When they reached the city gates, a guard stepped forward and raised a hand.
“Halt! Who goes there?”
Ryland, ever the silver-tongued hero, flashed a winning smile.
“I am Ryland...
My bad, I was all the time thinking of sorcerer for whom the PI-Wish just refreshes all the spells without any drawback (hence the reason I restricted it). For the normal mage I totally agree with you and I would probably not do it as it wouldn't be worth those extra spell slots.
Ryland (human blade by @Borco) & Kalam (halfling assassin), multiplayer run: Part 8 - Cloakwood Mines:
After the tough battle outside the mines, Ryland and Kalam decided to sneak inside and move carefully through the tunnels, hoping to rescue any miners they came across:
After finally reaching...
Ryland (human blade by @Borco) & Kalam (halfling assassin), multiplayer run: Part 7 - Into the Cloakwood Mines
Travelling deeper into the Cloakwood, Ryland and Kalam were ambushed. Fortunately, Ryland always moves cautiously under invisibility, while Kalam quickly activated his ring of...
I think in the end, the most important thing is to have fun and to feel yourself whether you are playing fair or misusing the game. If one is using a tactic one does not enjoy it's not worth it imho, even if it brings results
I agree that it's always a superior approach to have all spells before big battles, question was more whether people think it's cheesy or fair tactic. Since I am totally new to community, i am trying to find out what's OK and what's not OK if that makes sense :). Not really sure about Ascension...
