are there some spells which the no reload community think are a bit cheesy? On my sorcerer run I decided to not use Project Image/Simulacrum/Wish, what do you think about those?
Like for example in hell Irenicus battle, wouldn't PI be almost auto win? you can stand near the stairs to one of the...
I see. Atop of call for help from new SCS, those reinforcements also teleport in to the middle of arena now and those basic mage drows put protection from magic weapons which doesn't really make it any easier. Does Ava have improved Sendai?
Totally agree, imho that 3rd level is the hardest part...
Thanks, I checked it out. It looks so easy on those few pictures, just like a walk in a park haha
I will definitely get some inspiration from it, my next char will probably be an unkitted fighter and might need some help before that fight (if he ever gets there). Maybe I'll try to get Ravager...
Thanks for the tip, I actually read about it the other day and that it's compatible with EE. Based on what I read I might give it a try one day, but definitely not a no reload run.
Can't say I was a big fan of original Tactics. I think it was a bit ridiculous in some parts. I only remember...
I guess one relatively safe way to be in the heat of the battle and not rely too much on summons would be to actually use Project Image and test strategies.
Wow, that sounds like quite an achievement. Honored to have such a pro here. And also glad that Mordies tactic will help you in the...
Well that's good to know and it makes sense. Technically I had 2 reloads in the whole run (1st one being in Ducal Palace where I though it was a bug, but found out later that if the dukes die, I get auto killed even though I had full control of the battlefield lol)
And this not officially...
I can totally see why they are OP, I wouldn't have made it without them. I limited myself for not using PI/Simulacrum until final battle and Planetar in SoA, so they were a life saver in so many early battles. I actually went for a summoner when I created this char (L5 skeletons helped a lot as...
Fusrodah, Elven Dragon Disciple: last part
It felt like Fusrodah’s journey had come to an end. Truth be told, I didn’t really count that first death as a true game over — it was pure frustration from the crashes (I should have stopped after 2nd crash and do reinstall and google a solution for...
Fusrodah, Elven Dragon Disciple: part 9
Having defeated both Abazigal and Sendai, Fusrodah returned to face Balthazar. Unfortunately, diplomacy was out of the question — Balthazar was consumed by rage and there was no talking him down.
No matter — Fusrodah came prepared, backed by an army of...
I was really careful with the 1st pocket challenge as I know @Borco's bard met his end there, but 2nd was a surprise to me how hard it was solo. Went much better with my next char and I came prepared (compared to coming arrogantly right from Yaga Shura battle without rest)
Totally agree that...
I played with Sirene NPC on my last party playthrough and I think it was really well written NPC with some nice side quests. One of the main reasons I took her was that you can use her from start of BG1 to the end of ToB. And it was nice to have a paladin in BG2 who isn't Keldorn :D
Thanks for the answer.
I played Ascension only once around 10 years ago and I don't really remember much about it, but might give it a try on my next party playthrough. I played it around the same time as Tactics (or both at the same time?) and remember it being ridiculously difficult (might...
After cutting through an endless tide of slaves, drow, liches, mind flayers—and who knows what other horrors—Fusrodah finally stood before Sendai’s lair. This was it: the fight he’d dreaded most.
He opened strong: summoning a Planetar to anchor the field, then immediately imprisoning Sendai’s...
Hi guys!
I wouldn't call myself veteran, but I've been playing BG2 for over 20 years. A while ago, I got into SCS no reload run and I am definitely beginner there. With a lot of luck I managed to beat the trilogy on my 4th try with Dragon Disciple on Insane SCS with few restrictions (with the...
After his humbling near-death experience in the pocket plane, Fusrodah approached everything with newfound caution. He made it a priority to rest often and enter every fight fully refreshed. No more reckless spellcasting marathons. Not this time.
The path to Abazigal—his half-brother, and one...
