  1. What game are you currently playing?

Wow, master rank in your first fighting game! That's pretty impressive. I played fighting games casually for years before I jumped into the competitive scene. If you ever play Injustice 2, MKX or 11, or any older fighting game before 2011 at a high level, I am always up for a match! I love...
  2. What game are you currently playing?

Let us know how that Spelljammer game is! I always wanted to try it, it's on my list, but the Gold Box games are so long and with such large investment I don't know if I will ever get there. I mean, you need to have both the cluebook and graph paper at your side to properly play some of these...
  3. I ranted about every class/kit in Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale for nearly 3 hours.

This is the kind of content I like. Deep-dives into classes, mechanics, spells, etc.
  4. Anyone played black geyser or other pillars of eternity/badur's gate alike recommendations?

Might and Magic 6, 7, and 8 and pretty fun, open world, old school RPGs. I think they are almost perfectly balanced, difficulty wise. Wizardry 8 is very similar but slower and more difficult.
  5. Strategy Games Thread

Map strategy games I have never gotten into. But I do enjoy a lot of Real-Time Strategies from the golden age of the genre. Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 1 and 2. My favorite part about these ones is the fact that you can create a "hero" character who is essentially a super-unit...
  6. What game are you currently playing?

In between powering up my halfling druid on Everquest - which i'm still doing and is highly addicting - the only other thing i'm doing is revisiting an old favorite of mine, Legend of Legaia. Legaia uses a turn-based martial arts fighting system where you are choosing individual attacks...
  7. What game are you currently playing?

I feel like I should mention that someone I know has quite a lot done on an NWN module that is a totally open-world game set in its own world within the astral sea. The landmass itself is more or less done and content is being filled in, it can viewed now...
  8. What game are you currently playing?

Swordflight is Forgotten Realms and starts in Calimshan if I recall correctly. Aielund is its own setting.
  9. What game are you currently playing?

Aielund Saga and Swordflight are the two big NWN modules that everyone talks about. Aielund got a lot of love with a lot of updates when the EE came out, and Swordflight is still ongoing with the latest chapter (6 maybe?) being released relatively recently.
  10. What game are you currently playing?

If you are looking for some good session based casual RPGs, I would highly recommend Chrono Ark, Wildermyth, and (to a sightly lesser extent) Gordian Quest all for different reasons. The first two held my full attention for quite a while.
  11. What game are you currently playing?

I am almost ready to tackle the main dungeon I always wanted to see in this game, Kedge Keep. When I read the lore of it I was instantly hooked. Unlike most dungeons, Kedge Keep is entirely underwater. It was the once-proud stronghold of the Knights of the Kedge, followers of the ocean god...
  12. What game are you currently playing?

I have spent the past couple days grinding up a character in the original Everquest (or what is as close as you can get), Project 1999. I love how they clearly tried very hard to make it feel like an authentic DnD world. I roll a halfling, and I start inside this quaint little halfling town...
  13. What game are you currently playing?

I am waiting for the turn-based mode to be fully implemented to finish my first-ever complete run of PoE. It was announced when I was in the middle of it so I put it on hold. Turn-based mode is vastly preferable in this game, there is too much going on too fast for RTwP to be the default. So...
  14. What game are you currently playing?

I decided to start Neverwinter Nights 2 again. Although the Enhanced Edition is coming out soon, I think the normal game is perfectly fine as-is. Especially with some minor mods to add more armor detail and an armor customization menu. I decided to make an evil character and go through the OC...
  15. Found a 2nd edition Dragonlance boxed set at my local game store. It's quite interesting to go...

Found a 2nd edition Dragonlance boxed set at my local game store. It's quite interesting to go through.
  16. Did you know? (Baldur's Gate 3 edition)

Pickpocketing is fun, but educate me on something a little more barbaric. School me on the Throw metagame. I love this feature, both on tabletop and in BG3. Throw spears, throw random objects, throw your companions, it's always fun to get a little create with projectiles. How do you maximize...
  17. Baldur's Gate III News

Can't believe I bought this in early access and yet still haven't finished a full playthrough. I have no good reasons for why this is so, I enjoy the game well enough. but when you drop a game this heavy it's hard to pick up from where you left off.
  18. Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader & now also Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy - a new cRPG from Owlcat Games

The Warhammer games just keep coming. I like the franchise and especially the lore, so i'm not complaining, but I can't possibly try them all in time. My most recent warhammer games have been: Mechanicus, a tactics RPG using the coolest faction in the series, the Adeptus Mechanicus. Great...
  19. Games you're looking forward to

Going through Drakengard will not reveal anything about Neir to you, so if you do so, do it for its own sake.
  20. Games you're looking forward to

I haven't had the chance yet, and it's not entirely in my wheelhouse, but I do want to try Neir. I love the fact that the story is a continuation of the last Drakengard ending. I have always been in awe of that game for its blend of traditional fantasy outer skin and completely and utterly...
