Antimatter managed to wake up the people in the cellar, though only for a brief moment, since they became unconscious again. Upon examination, it seems that they are intoxicated.

Urdnot Wrex empties the content of the Potion of Mental Clarity on the talking Treant. Nothing happens. The Treant gives a curious look at the Krogan and says:

Treant: It seems that the illness that plagues your mind causes you to act erratically during certain moments, and the rest of the time you act rationally. Do not worry, friend, I will try to think of some other way of helping you with that problem of yours."

DM says: Just for the sake of expedience, I'll assume that someone casts True Seeing, or something equivalent, and that whoever casts it informs the result to the rest of the group that's above ground.

After casting True Seeing, the party discovers that the talking Treant is actually a dwarven man. He is wearing a robe and carrying a wooden quarterstaff. Judging by his attire, he appears to be a druid.

DM says: I need everyone to roll Initiative (just joking, we don't have dice!)

The Krogan catches the dwarf by surprise. Infuriated, the druid shouts:

Druid: "We're under attack! Defend the forest!"

The dwarven druid casts Animal Summoning I. Two dire wolves are summoned. Meanwhile, the Treants prepare to attack the party.

Antimatter, not being able to help the poor fellas in the cellar and hearing screams outside, teleports back. Examining the situation, Antimatter sends a rallying call to our resident raven rogue. "Just make sure not to ask Odin to send bolts of lightning here, or more species will be harmed than just Treants, oh dear wise bird!"

In the meantime, Antimatter tries to prepare a few charm grenades

.

Should be enough, according to that botany book, right? If I add seeds and a bit of antimatter, everything should be fine, right? Hope these are not the "famous last words".

Urdnot Wrex succeeds in taking the quarterstaff from the dwarven druid.

Druid: "I don't need it, and I will tell you nothing!"

The druid casts Shillelagh. A magical wooden club appears in one of his hands. Meanwhile, six Treants still remain. Three of them approach Urdnot Wrex, swinging their branches at the Krogan. The three other ones approach alice_ashpool and attempt to attack her as well. The two dire wolves, with their keen sense of smell, detect Nimran the ferret, and attempt to bite him.

Using alien powers, mlnevese discovered that the Dwarven druid fears beholders the most. As mlnevese took on that form and appeared, the dwarf said:

Druid: "A beholder! Everybody run!"

All of the Treants, as well as the dire wolves, and the Dwarf himself, began to flee.

Alice succeeds in catching the Dwarf.

Druid: "No! What are you doing? The beholder will kill us all! Run!"

The Dwarf, who is technically grappled, attempts to free himself. Meanwhile, the Treants continue to retreat further into the forest. The dire wolves have run away.

Antimatter shots a charm grenade towards the druid. The first thing to ask would be to lay down all weapons and command Treants and wolves to become friendly. Then we should ask who stands behind all this mess. They should also release all the captives immediately. And eventually, we should invite the druid and all his allies to the Tavern, to have a good drink with us and tell us all the details.
