Yep, you can do it and get all masterpieces in one run. You just need to absolutely minimise wasted journeys on the over map and pour every penny you earn into the kingdom.
Yeah, taking advantage of being able to use a shield and still get monks wis to ac is deliciously cheesy. However, if you would like to do damage you can forfeit some AC for str and maybe be able to bite things instead of being tank-caster. You can even go all in on str. All depends how you want...
Gimmicky tanker shifter druid who can do a little bit else:
Go Defender of the true world/Druid depending on preferences, 19 Wis + maximum dex you can, and take a level of Traditional Monk for wis to AC. Pump Wis for spell casting. Evocation is decent path because of Call lightning, call...
Having got to half way through the new act, my honest conclusion is that you can quite easily Sword and Board Fighter 20 your way through the game without dying once. By the end Tower Shield + Angelic Halo + Armor Training + Combat Expertise should deal with the AC issues. Fighter...
Matilda has liberated grey garrison and now leads the crusade as a Mythic Hero. Everything's looking good so far.
We have completed Soseil's and Seelah's quests at the beginning of act 2 and are pushing north. Fighter AC is absolutely not an issue at this stage and overall I am not seeing...

All that is left to do is assault Grey Garrison.
I had sort of forgotten what it was like to do big damage with a character, but having a Paladin and a Fighter back to back both with outflank at level 5 means that we do big damage. Lann really helps here too. Have...
Almost died. Double natural 20 for the enemy.

I have this time taken Lann down the Warpriest Cult Leader route this time. Quite fun as his Iomedae worship means he can have the 1 minute buffs Axiomatic Strike and Holy Strike. useful for 2d6 extra damage and overcoming damage resistance.
I was worried about the tavern fight, but we pulled it off. Not the smoothest but did go toe-to-toe with the big guy
Hard to see but we are essentially safe as can be, barely:
Hi Blackraven, nice to see you.
Thassalonian Specialist is certainly a "challenge class" - as full spellbook restrictions are rare!
You have already noticed that an unlisted benefit is that you still receive the School Bonuses of a regular wizard as a Thassalonian Specialist - that makes the...
