(Experience sharing on/off early on)
How does this part work and what is the effect of either setting? What's the preferred way to play for more challenge?

The Tales of Grim Face & Co #8 (Challenging). Chapter 1:

And that’s it!!! Yay! First time ever I've done all Ch1 areas during it, and from now on I'm quite confident with my skills to do that in all my future playthroughs (at least on 'Challenging' difficulty)

With experience sharing - 'off' only active party members got the experience for quests/kills and if you have reduced party you'll get more exp for quests/defeated enemies. I believe, in Prologue 9exp enemy provide 56exp instead. And with a party of four, telling the truth to Warrior Queen Bdaah and returning both relics to their owners provide 2304 exp instead of 384. Same with 'Only skill user receives skill check experience' but I don't use it (more appropriate for solo run).

Definitely sharing experience 'on' is more challenging since you'll level up slower. I'm not sure if you'll get level 5 for all quests/kills with sharing>'on' before Restov since I always skipped some challenging areas in my previous runs and never had full Chapter 1 clean up with sharing>'on'.

Well, since you've reached level 5 with your Thundercaller even before Stag Lord and Wererats with exp sharing, I think, it's also possible to complete all stuff in 30 days time limit with proper (and careful) planning when and where to go. I'll try that someday, but now I'm eager to move forward (too many restartis at the moment already... =) ).

WotR Core Last Azlanti Update

Eve killed the Dragon (so easy that we bugged out its 2nd phase - it teleported away then instantly died) and Old Sarkorian Ghost - I have been using Daeran's Channel a lot more since I have been playing much more conservatively., but simultaneously with a High AC MC I have had a lot fewer Skeleton summons (think 12 rather than 50)

Next we took out Molten Scar which I had been delaying because of the army in the way (Crusade is on standard despite no requirement to be so for Core difficulty afaik). EZ

So now Eve is getting ready to go to Blackwater!

Ivory Sanctum is painful - I forgot abut the clusters of Shadow Demon Votaries, the Coloxus demons, the Mythic Demons you have to kill twice, the locust swarms, the, heaven forbid, votaries which drop Destructions (MC ate on of them, fortunately HP buffer left her with 40HP and a quick Reach Metamagic Rod Heal from Daeran put her back at max).

I cleared the whole thing except Xanthir and the last Ghostly Minotaur on one rest, which was fine except for the 3 deaths:

Daeran died because of a rolling boulder (whoops), Lann died in combat twice because he is a spare tire (Breath of life brought him back both times). Clown plays.

WotR Core Last Azlanti Update - Eve the Eldritch Scoundrel

I come bearing great tidings. Last Azlanti Core Playful Darkness is dead

We killed the beastie with Aru wielding Finnean, which is a pretty "standard" way to do it. She kills Playful in 3-4 rounds. Everyone else throws dispel Magics - Daeran drops the Goggles of Dispelling or whatever theyre called for a 20 on dispel rolls first time. We managed to dispel a few things. All except Eve, who, with a bit of calculation I worked out could wade in and hit PD with Second Chance (Stacking +3AB every time you miss until you hit) We took almost no damage. Also 3x Creeping Doom and an army of Skellies - sue me its Last Azlanti XD.

We claim our ridiculous prize from the Inevitable Excess Rift: Flawless Belt of Physical Perfection +8. You read that right. Not only is it +8 to all physical stats but the "flawless" means increased crit range. No joke Eve has a 13-20 crit range now.

I will do a full Gear + Levels update when I finish Act 3

I like that you're sharing the exact build, it's nice because I'm still a bit overwhelmed by the mass of details and choices and what the consequences are. Much appreciated, also for reference if I ever actually have the patience to go through the character creation for P:K some day when I have finished my D:OS2 Tactician run with Lohse.

In D:OS2 the respec options are a huge help, but IIRC in Kingmaker there's no respec, only in WotR?
