So, I'm cleaning up my laptop since I'm running out of HD space and uninstalling games I'll probably never even play again. I cleared out about 100GB of space so yay me. A good chunk (probably half) was just Fallout 4 (and mods, and mod organizer), though.

In any event, I did this because I was checking out my external hard drive for some forgotten gems to play for my next game. I found a few I'll likely delve into. My frontrunner made me think of this song. I'll definitely do a log, if I do this game, because it's actually depressing as fuck and I'll probably need the journal therapy. :p

So, this is (oddly enough) my Diablo song. I can explain.

Back in the day, I'm talking mid- to late-90s, I would occasionally play the first Diablo game in MP. It was a simpler time when griefers, PKers, and other sociopaths were an aberration instead of the norm in multiplayer games. I was just a kid, had played a ton of Diablo (everything from a perfect rogue to a beyond naked mage) and decided to take MP for a spin. I fell in with this dude who (I think) was Serbian. Wait, I remember the year now, it had to have been 1998. The Kosovo War was on. I remember him mentioning once that a friend down the street had all their house windows blown out from a nearby bombing. I'm pretty sure it was NATO (and likely my country) that did the bombing. It was pretty heavy shit looking back on it, but at the time, we were just a couple of kids teaming up to take down Diablo. Anyway, we talked punk and new wave music in between "strategy" and he put me onto this band.

I was tempted to pick up Diablo from GoG for old time's sake, but Torchlight 1 and 2 are on sale for (combined) less than the cost of Diablo, and I never really gave those games a proper run, so I think that's what I'll do.

A good rest,
a bowl of soup
and the fraternal hug of a loyal friend
are what you're needing right now
so that you can quit your cocaine addiction once and for all,
and the stubborn will to destroy yourself.

Sunday, far away from the city,
under the sun, sharing with friends:
roasted meat, bread,
water and wine.

Bull and pampas is what it is.
