NWN was my introduction to DnD. I have a supreme amount of love for it for this reason and could probably recite every line of every main campaign.
I despair at the thought of Larian designing this game, even though I generally enjoy their style.
The problem is that they are incapable of *not*...
Persona always had a very unique charm to it. And the music of every entry is a delight.
However, the original game series, Shin Megami Tensei, will always hold a special place in my gaming library. Every one of those games until after Nocturne was an absolute masterpiece, a top tier RPG.
AI has completely transformed the way I do tabletop. Everything from free image generation for amazing backgrounds and character concepts to thinks like novelai's story assistant program to help me tinker with possibilities/ideas
I love Dark Sun to death, it will always be my favorite setting, but yes, the entire world is tied to classic 2nd edition rules in a way that it can't be separated from. The entire transformation system that epic characters go through only makes sense in the contest of 2nd edition Dual Classing...
I always go back to Dark Sun: Shattered Lands and its sequel. I love the world of Dark Sun and those games have the most enjoyable interpretation of 2e, especially since that world has all sorts of interesting quirks like innate psionics.
I think Borys is easily the most powerful magic user in...
Do not sleep on Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis, especially if you have played Reborn. Knight of Lodis is a prequel.
I played Tactics Ogre LUCT to death, Was shocked when, on the Law route, I ”accidentally“ let Catiua die and was hated enough that I got *assassinated* during the ending as king...
Nowadays I am almost always DM to new players who want to get into it, but I still enjoy it. We ended a 2+ year long campaign recently. The players wanted large squads/army rules near the end so I ended up doing a few mass-scale battles using the Warhammer 40K rules, which are perfect for it.
Going into the enemy armies camp, alone, and solo'ing the entire thing as a Shadowdancer is probably my single favorite IE memory.
That being said, i've only done it once. And it pushed my knowledge of early BG tactics to the max. Was delightful.
I am finally doing another full trilogy run...
If this is even remotely true pack it up, its over. Can I get my early access purchase refunded in full?
"Baldur's Gate 3 Has Everything: Polyamory, Bear F*******, Blood Sacrifice"
After losing my long time gaming PC I had to resort to my long forgotten tablet. Lo and behold, the BG enhanced editions are on it! So I download them, swiftly learn how to transport my mod lists, and am having a blast since it has been years since I touched them after obsessing over them for...
DnD oceans aren't "just fish and seaweed" as that link implies, that they are full of actual sentient NPCs, with towns and potential companions and problems to solve. Aquatic elves, sirines, sahuagin, aboleth, storm giants and their underwater castles, getting to see the Citadel of Ten Thousand...
My favorite setting that has never been used is the entire underwater world of DnD. I want a purely aquatic adventure at this point. That ends in the Elemental Plane of Water or in the floating ocean section of the Astral plane. There are entire factions, species, worlds-within-worlds that have...
I live for this kind of content. DnD history and DnD video game history in particular is fascinating. Lot of hidden gems. Dungeon Hack or Menzoberannzan anyone?
My list of to-dos in BG is still huge despite me having over a decades worth of time with the game at this point. I want to run off-brand PCs like a Skald or a Wizard Slayer (I made the ishlilka mod just because I wanted to use the class without using the class lmao), I want to see Chaotic...
I never, in a million years, would have guessed that winter wolves spawn in the Naskhel Mines area. What are they doing so far south anyway? I don't think i've ever rested there.
