Just saw this on Reddit... for those who do not know, Seelah is a paladin, Sosiel is a cleric and Ember is a witch. I call this a holy burn :)

For Spawn of Rovagug it has been a long time since I did it, but it requires a really aggressive strategy.

Last time iirc:
Massive Amiri and Valerie - hitting things
Octavia - Grandmaster's Rod + Hellfire rays
Jubilost - Fast Holy Bombs
Harrim - For the Holy Aura, Mass Heals and Plague-Storm
MC - Ranged fighter - throwing arrows.

Unlike some fights don't summon anything because iirc it heals as it damages things. Spread out as much as possible. Bring some Negative Energy Resistance items - thre are a few. Quickened double Plague Storm it with Harrim, Quicked True Strike then Grand Mastered Hellfire ray it with Octavia, Get those fast holy bombs going, get it down asap cast mass heal where required. You can also dispel its True Seeing if you want to proc sneaks.

188 days until ancient curse part 7. All regions claimed and upgraded fully, all resource locations claimed, all stats at X, Every area cleared and Farnirras killed. 2 quests left: Spawn of Rovagug and secret of suramgamin (which I apparently forgot about) + the endgame. About 50% of masterpieces delivered. Kingdom difficulty: Normal. Good run so far. Now to pick the video series back up.

Just did spawn to remind myself on Challenging. If anyone was wondering - much easier in Turn Based.

1. Cast no buffs at all, summon nothing - very important.
2. Have Octavia or another ray-caster nuke Xelliren to initiate combat with a maximised Hellfire. This will kill in one.
3. Valerie into combat with Tyrant (stacking -1AC per hit)
4. Pet into combat to soak up a couple of blows.
5. Tristian in reserve with a book full of Cure Critical,Mass, and Heal, Mass - cast when necessary otherwise do nothing.
6. Jubilost to Fast Holy Bomb
7. Druid and MC twiddle thumbs within range of Tristian heals.
8. Grandmastered Hellfires x3 + Holy bombs plus some hits from Valerie is enough to kill.

Just want to say that WotR DLC#2 - Through the Ashes looks fantastic (the art and level design devs have really done themselves proud), plays pretty well, and is hard as hell. Been playing for about 10 hours trying to clear on core including 5 full restarts and about 100 quick-loads.

Fire kineticist is 100% the easy-mode route. Limited rests means most caster classes are going to have a hard time, and limited equipment mean that gear dependent classes are going to have a hard time. There are lots of immune and resistant enemies as well both types of physiccal damage and types of energy damage - but nothing immune to fire.

Failed runs were:
rogue - eaten by rats
fighter - wracked with disease then eaten by a gelatinous cube
Red dragon sorceress - failed a diplomacy check that summoned some evil cultists
Cleric - eaten by spiders
cold kineticist - eaten by the undead

Highly recommend maxing stealth on everyone too.

Good luck! I would highly recommend going for it with the default team - or just the two compulsory companions for the first playthrough - keeps the tension high. Making custom companions is too cheap.

Case and point, i'm playing through on unfair now:
Fire Elemental Engine
Fire Elemental Engine
Sylvan Sorc w/ boar
Angelfire Apostle
+ Rekarth

Nothing stands a chance at the moment.

House at the End of Time is one of the best high-level dungeons ever made and only 8.6% of people who start Kingmaker ever see it and 100% of them hate it

Thinking about it Owlcat have produced:
HatEoT
Drezen
Pitax
Wintersun
Blackwater
Through the Ashes DLC as a whole
Lostlarn Keep in Varnhold's Lot DLC

Good Stuff.

For the house, heres how I did it in the latest challenging run. Valerie, Jubilost, Octavia, Harrim, Feyspeaker, Enchanter MC

Wild Hunt: Valerie (TSS10/Stalwart 8-9) with a few buffs like legendary proportions solo'd down every group. Leave everyone else behind.
Ghostly Guards+mages - ditto, let valerie solo them down with death ward
Mandragora swarms: A few casts of tar works well, then octavia + jubilost with Freedom of Movement + resist fire. Octavia can nuke most swarms for an alternate approach.

Harrim/Tristian can bring the Heal Mass. Harrim dropping Destructions where needed My MC with Overwhelming Presence and Feyspeeker with Phantasmal Putrifaction ditto.

Requires a bit of extra thinking but it is a level 18-20 dungeon!

Eh, I don't agree it's good. Its design is punishing for 90% of players, and this explains "you should never create dungeons like that", period. When you know the meta, you can play through it. But if you don't, you are in trouble. Also, it kills your party member (or 2) permanently. I think we've discussed the dungeon in this thread before. Bad, bad. Don't do dungeons like that, please.
